When we got inside, there were several open tables, but we were told the only available space was at the bar. That was fine—the seating was actually relatively comfortable for a bar. We were placed right next to the pass, facing the kitchen and cooks. I get that it’s part of the vibe, but I personally didn’t enjoy it much.

Service was average, nothing special. What really disappointed me was the lack of attentiveness. We were sitting right next to the pass, with staff constantly walking by us, but my glass was basically empty the whole time. They filled it only twice, and at one point I was dying of thirst. The glasses were tiny, so I wish they were just a bit more on top of it.

On the bright side, the food came super quickly, which I was thrilled about since I was starving. There were so many things to choose from, it was honestly hard to pick, but I was really happy with my final choice.

Minus points: No regular coffee! Also, the drink menu (excluding alcohol) was pretty limited, which was a letdown.

Now for the food:

Fuego Chicken Sandwich – Not a fan. “Fuego” is an understatement my tongue was on fire. The coleslaw didn’t taste like coleslaw to me. The chicken itself was decent, but nothing special. Overall, it felt just average. 3.65/5 Fries – Surprisingly good! I don’t usually love skinny fries, but these were salty and tasty. 4/5 MTL Cheesesteak – Amazing. Honestly, 4.9/5. The meat was perfect and exactly what I’ve been looking for in a steak sandwich. The only thing I’d add is a pickle or mushroom, just something fresh or veggie to balance it out, but that’s just my personal taste. This sandwich was a win.

The mayo was cream cheese mayo, I thought that was a crime of a combo and the flavor in my mouth was just wrong. Never again. It came with the fries. Also, on the cheesesteak, they put peppercorns not dried which I wasn’t a fan of.

Atmosphere: Very sleek and modern. Not the warmest or coziest vibe, but definitely aesthetic and super...

EVA's best feature is no doubt the design of the space. It is unique with it's rounded columns, modern-industrial grey tones and intricate art pieces that adorn the restaurant. The service here was friendly and cheerful. My server didn't really interact with me after I was served, but I was sitting by the bar and the girl who was working there happily engaged me in conversation, which is always appreciated when I'm dining solo. I went for the skytower plate, which I have mixed feelings on. The feature of the dish, the mini pancakes, were superb. I was unsure about the savory butter they were using as pancakes are sweet, however it worked very well. The texture of the pancakes was immaculate. 1-2 more could have been added to really justify the dish's name however. The other parts of the plate were pretty standard. The one part that did disappoint me is that I like my eggs poached and they told me they don't do poached eggs. This is the first time I've heard this at a brunch restaurant, and for how well this place presents itself I was surprised at the limitation. I have to say that the quality of the dish did not justify the price at all. They need to have at least one more item on this plate. I did not have a beverage, just this place and my bill was around $35. The portion-to-price ratio here is a weak point- brunch is meant to be filling, especially a...

Eva's is an absolute gem in the Montreal brunch scene, and my recent experience there was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the perfect tone for a boozy brunch. The decor was trendy yet cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. Eva's menu is a brunch lover's dream come true. I opted for the egggslut, and they were a revelation.

What made this brunch even more exceptional was the outstanding service, particularly thanks to the manager, Noor. She went above and beyond to ensure that our table was well taken care of. Noor's warm hospitality added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel like valued guests.

The staff at Eva's clearly takes pride in their work, and it reflects in the seamless coordination of service. From prompt refills of our coffee to accommodating a special request, their attention to customer satisfaction was evident throughout.

The ambiance, delectable food, and exceptional service culminated in what I can confidently say was one of the best brunch experiences in Montreal. Eva's has earned its place as a go-to brunch spot, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in the mood for an unforgettable brunch, do yourself a favor and make your way to Eva's – you won't be...

Almost two full years after visiting this location for brunch, we finally returned and were glad to see that not only is the fried chicken still incredible, it may even be better than we remembered, which is saying something. We enhanced the beautiful morning with our order of: - Chicken N' Waffles: Perfectly seasoned, wonderfully crispy fried chicken tenders on exquisite buttery Belgian waffles. They were so moist we didn't even need syrup. It comes with a heavenly cinnamon apple compote; we wish we had more of it. - Eggslut: Okay,  we admit we got it for the name. Call it food clickbait, but that doesn't take away from the enticing, tempting, inviting, gooey cheesy, chive-covered eggy goodness. It may not be big, but it hits the spot. - Pancakes (offered): So fluffy and as buttery as the waffles. The blueberry sauce is an excellent addition of sweetness. Topped with cream and fresh berries, we could have this for breakfast daily. We also had some spectacular cocktails and enjoyed the amicable service. Overall, it is a fantastic destination for brunch, and we would suggest it as one of the top spots in Montreal.
