Ordered via Uber Eats today. I’d say for a Chinese restaurant, the dishes were really lacking: Pineapple Chicken: the chicken was nice and crispy. They separated the sauce and chicken to keep the chicken crispy but the amount of sauce given in the containers was laughable. We ended up pretty much just eating breaded chicken… Chicken chow mein: where do I begin on this one? Presentation was horrendous, taste was non existant, and it was drowning in some sort of clear broth.. Chicken fried rice: probably the best dish of the entire combo but even then it was pretty bland and dry in comparison to other restaurants. Egg Rolls: very tasteless I’d say unfortunately… not much else to say here. Disappointing. Wonton Soup: broth was pretty good! Wontons did not taste very good however. They had a weird aftertaste which left me not wanting to finish.
Maybe it is just the difference between Uber Eats and being in the restaurant but this experience has not been great :( hope they improve because the restaurant photos...
Read moreThe food is alright. The issue I have with this place is their delivery driver. I placed my order via Just eat and selected 'pick-up' as opposed to delivery because I knew I had to run a few errands and would be in the area around the time it would be ready. As I was just about to turn on to St-Antoine, I get a call from a random number. I pick up and it turns out to be the driver. He begins to yell at me "I'm here ringing your doorbell, don't you hear me? I'm going to leave!" I explain to him that I selected Pick up as my delivery method and that I'm on my way to the restaurant... again since we placed the order via Just Eat, we already paid for everything so I tell him to just leave the order on my door step so he can get to his other deliveries on time. He refuses to do so, adding "you need to come and tip me"...... like r u for real?! Anyway. Won't be ordering from...
Read moreI called and placed my order which was a combo for 2 with a few extras on the side. Mind you this is during Covid so it was take out and the place was empty naturally. They gave me a time and it was ready when I got there so no complaints on that end, however not so much on the food.
So we ordered combo #2 but made some switches which had price differences but was accomodating still. Ended up switching out chow mein and pineapple chicken for Shanghai noodles and beef and broccoli. Also added fried dumplings on the side.
Everything felt tasteless or under seasoned. I mean they messed up Won ton soup which I didn't even know was possible. It just tasted like hot water and you can only add so much soya sauce. On top of that everything was extremely oily and greasy. I'd say the fried dumplings and egg rolls were the only things I didn't mind, everything...
