G Pizzas — Restaurant in Montreal

I’m a bit hesitant to give this place a review; it has an ephemeral quality where you feel like if too many people discover it, it will just disappear. The secret NDG pizza joint everyone drives by and never notices, is that by design? Once your inside, the place is so strange… the long hallway, galley, industrial kitchen with huge refrigerators. What’s in those fridges? The mystical meats and mushrooms collected from far away places? The kitchen is so long, you can’t even see the pizza man making the pizza. Is it always the same guy? It seems so, but at that distance I can’t be certain.

Buy different pizzas and share. Each kind is so intense intense and unique in its flavour, that focusing on one, I think you would succumb to what the Victorian era called...

If you didn't know this place was here you would walk right past it. But, in doing so you would be passing by what is undisputedly the best pizza on the island of Montreal. Yes, the term best is highly subjective, but in this case there is no question.

Look up their website, choose a pizza, then pick up the phone and give them a call. Your pizza will be ready by the time you come to pick it up. You will not regret trying g pizza.

Cannot say enough good things about Joe and his delicious food!! Meatballs were to die for tender; pizzas (we ordered the mushroom and the spinach ones) had the best, lightest, tastiest crust; and the tiramisu and cookie were perfect ways to end our meal (not too sweet, but flavorful). The chili oil is AMAZING AND SPICY, buy a whole jar for your pizzas!! You can taste how much love and effort Joe puts into every dish, we HIGHLY recommend you get to G Pizzas ASAP!
