I am genuinely baffled by the near perfect reviews, which initiated us to go there
My family of 4 arrived little before 7 pm on a Friday. Got sat around 7:05 pm, ordered within minutes. Spring roll, imperial roll, large pho and grilled pork vermicelli.
7:30 pm we received our two rolls. By 7:40 pm, still no meals so I asked if our food was coming soon, and I was told it would be ready soon.
7:45 pm, still nothing and it was long since we had finished our spring rolls. 7:50 pm I told them that I would just pay for the rolls but forget the main dishes bc we were going to leave.
(I’ve been to countless number of pho restaurants and this is the first time an order took more than 10-15 mins.)
At this point they went into the kitchen and tell them to make it ASAP, and I’m told it’s coming out right now. They said grilled pork takes a long time to cook. 40 mins for a grilled pork vermicelli? At that point they say that they were extremely busy that night.
At no point did they seem apologetic. They weren’t rude but defensive. It wasn’t their fault and couldn’t be blamed.
They only said that next time that I should tell them that we’d like our order rushed. Had I known it was going to take 45+ minutes, I would have just gone somewhere worse, not bother coming here to tell them to rush my order. How is that fair to the other tables?
If they were that busy and if grilled pork vermicelli takes a long time to bring out to a family with young kids, they could have mentioned it when I was ordering.
Their large portion pho is a medium at best. My son, who is a fiend for pho noodles, smelled the pho and would not even try it. Children are the most brutally honest when it comes to food as they will not sugarcoat it to be polite.
(There are also several dead insects by the windowsill that should...

I’ve been back here a few times now, and honestly, it’s become one of my go-to spots in Montréal when the pho craving hits. Each visit has its own little story — here’s the breakdown:
👨🍳 Food Highlights: • Shrimp tempura = crispy perfection 🦐🔥. • Spring rolls + dumplings = crunchy, flavorful, and totally addictive 🥟🥢. • Pho = not the absolute best broth in the city, but solid and generous with the meat 🍲🐂. Would’ve loved a squeeze of lime for brightness 🍋, but hey — house rules. • Shrimp dish (Letter H) — fresh, tasty, and my fave from one of my visits. • Combo deals (pho + imperial roll, or spring roll + beef) are great value 💸👌.
🏠 Ambiance: • Clean, peaceful, and plenty of seating. Comfortably spaced, not crammed in. • Even when it’s quiet (like Monday afternoons), the vibe is chill and relaxing — perfect for catching up with friends.
🤝 Service: • Usually friendly and helpful, especially with bigger groups (we were 8 people midweek, and everyone left happy ✨). • That said, service can be a little inconsistent — once I had to wait to be seated even though it was nearly empty, and ended up grabbing my own menu. Not the end of the world, but a small detail they could polish.
🚗 Practical Notes: • Prices? Affordable and fair — especially the lunch combos 🥢💵. • Parking? Classic Montréal headache 🅿️🤦, so plan ahead.

👉 Verdict: A solid pho spot with tasty sides, friendly staff, and wallet-friendly combos. Not Michelin-level broth, but you’ll leave full, happy, and without breaking the bank. For me, it’s a repeat place — and that...
Read moreMy wife and I are big fans of Pho, and we love trying new places every couple of months. We recently discovered Pho Anni, and it has quickly become our go-to spot!
The first time we visited two weeks ago, we accidentally made a mistake in how we ordered our meal. The staff was incredibly understanding and fixed it right away—no hassle, just kindness. And when the food arrived, we were blown away! The broth is absolutely incredible—rich, deep, and full of love. You can tell it’s been simmering for hours, developing layers of flavors that make every bite amazing.
One of the best parts of dining here is the family-oriented atmosphere. The chef personally goes around to talk with customers, making sure everyone is happy with their meal. It feels like you’re part of the family, and that kind of warmth is rare to find.
For Valentine’s Day, we came back and had another fantastic experience. The chef even experimented with the broth, adding creative twists that made the meal unique and exciting. It's not just great food—it's a place full of heart and passion for cooking.
If you're a Pho lover, this is the place to be. Pho Anni is now our #1 choice, and we can’t wait to return....
