I have been living in Toronto for years, and this was my first time experiencing an Iranian restaurant in Montreal. Before choosing the restaurant, I checked the reviews and noticed it had received positive feedback, so I decided to give it a try.

First of all, the item we ordered from the menu was not available, so we had to choose something else against our wishes. When the food arrived, it looked beautiful and appealing, but unfortunately, the rice was undercooked and very greasy. The kebab was also not fully cooked. Unfortunately, I didn’t know the food would be so poorly prepared, and I ordered another dish to take with me for my return to Toronto. I must say, the takeout service at this restaurant is terrible. They put the kebab and rice in one container—just that! No sumac, no napkins, and not even a spoon!

Even though I specifically emphasized that I needed a spoon because we were planning to eat on the way, they didn’t include one. In my opinion, they should first learn the basics of running a restaurant before actually opening one. The food presentation was nice, but when you can’t eat it, it doesn’t really matter. In my opinion, they should consider changing their chef. Honestly, I’m no longer interested in trying Iranian restaurants...

❤️🤍💚A Remarkable Transformation with Unforgettable Flavors!

After spending 10 years in Vancouver, I found myself in Montreal and craving a taste of authentic, home-cooked cuisine. I recently ordered Ghorme Sabzi and Chelo Mahiche, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite of the Ghorme Sabzi burst with deep, well-balanced flavors, and the Chelo Mahiche was so tender and perfectly prepared—it truly captured the essence of traditional cooking.

The new family management has revitalized this restaurant with a personal touch and genuine care for quality. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every detail, and it’s clear they are passionate about preserving the authenticity of these classic dishes. To the owner and the entire team: thank you for restoring the magic of this place. Your dedication has not only satisfied my cravings but also reminded me of why I fell in love with good food in the first place.

I’m honored to share my experience and look forward to many more memorable meals...

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. The husband and wife that own the place (the wife is also the cook!) are very welcoming and the sweetest. I ordered takeout for a small meal, and the food more than exceeded my expectations. I got the mirza ghasemi with a side of saffron rice and the damnosh tea.

Mirza ghasemi: I don't think any words I use to describe this dish can do it justice. The eggplant was melt-in-your-mouth and had the most amazing grilled/smoky flavor, and it was made even better by the egg. Highly recommend getting this.

Saffron rice: To me, rice is supplementary to a meal and can even be omitted. But this saffron rice could be standalone. The flavor that came from the saffron and the scorchedness...I think my heart stopped a little.

Domnosh: This was such a pleasure to drink. Such delicate flavors and subtly sweet.

The food and drinks here are so good and made with such attention and care. It's really worth...

After a day of walking around downtown and not agreeing on what to eat I was starving and had a headache. This place was next to where I had gotten a massage earlier in the day and said to my son, that’s it we’re eating here and we’re so glad we did! First time having Persian for me but my son has had it with his friends and said this is the best he’s had. We all ordered the Koobideh (beef skewers) that were tender and juicy. And that little triangle bread cooked into the rice was like a drug it was so good. Portion was more than enough. We also had the eggplant appetizer with the fried onions. It came with a pillowy bread. We devoured it. And finished off with the saffron ice cream which was part creamy but more icy. Very rose scented. I never had it before but definitely interesting. We enjoyed the decor, the family run business with mom and dad cooking and the son tending to us. He was so nice and helpful. Too bad we live 6 hours away!

We came as a group of 17 people and ordered kalleh pacheh and halim. Even though we had informed them in advance, they weren’t fully ready for such a large group, so it took quite a long time for the bread and drinks to arrive. But I have to say , when the food finally came, it was absolutely worth the wait. The kalleh pacheh was incredible. The same exact flavour you remember from Iran: rich, authentic, and perfectly cooked. Honestly, it felt like eating breakfast back home. 🤩🔥 We also had Halim, and just a heads-up: they normally serve it with sugar on top, so make sure to ask them not to add sugar if you prefer it salty. We asked them to change ours and they kindly prepared a new one. Their flexibility and friendliness really stood out. The rest of the experience: the tea, the warm service, all added to the feeling of true Persian hospitality. They were so friendly and welcoming throughout our meal.
