Since they seem to keep ignoring the issues reported via the delivery apps, I'm leaving a review instead. I grew up with Harvey's, the food has always been great, makes it feel a BIT worth the extra cost. Better food, both in taste and in quality.
Most of the following is the whole chain, not this location specifically.
I mostly use a wheelchair, so GETTING food is person is often too much effort, so I splurge on delivery.
I got the Harvey's app. It's broken. Impossible to get a menu unless I do pickup, and using apps for pickup is useless, just order there. App refuses to accept/save my address, claiming I don't have a Harvey's close enough (that's a lie, there's 2). Even if true still not okay to ignore my address. Once when I was out, I tested it, tried at a Walmart across the road, put in Walmart's address, STILL says no delivery, too far, so it just doesn't support delivery and lies about it. Why not use DoorDash like the McDonald's and Subway apps do?
So I have to use SkipTheDishes or DoorDash. DoorDash has been abusive to me, trying to blame order errors on me (It's MY fault they forgot something or ignored an instruction?), so Skip, but I think all of this is both anyway. Firstly, Special Instructions are disabled. Always a bad idea, but Harvey's' signature trait has always been we get our food the way we want it. It is absolutely unacceptable for HARVEY'S to have Special Instructions disabled, and this is chain-wide. (All of this is true for both Skip and DoorDash).
Large drink selection but since I want a real drink not something like a milkshake or a tiny Red Bull, that leaves 3 varieties of Pepsi, 7-Up, Iced Tea, that's about it. Nothing I like enough to ever order, I often settle for Iced Tea. Used to get Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper, but unfortunately they stopped those, so only GOOD drink is Orange Crush. Not listed. Not in trios, not alone. But there's Dr. Pepper! No Regular/Large like the others, but good enough! But EVERY time I order Dr. Pepper I get no drink! Clearly they don't ACTUALLY have it, but how ridiculously unprofessional to just skip it entirely! Like it's my fault for ordering something you said you have? Why not at least list it as out of stock? How about ASKING ME? If I showed up in person and ordered a Dr. Pepper, would they just quietly skip it? I've filed several complaints about that, they still keep doing it.
So, pick Iced Tea - something I'd be settling for - then call to place the real order of Orange Crush. Call, automated answer (suggesting the website, WHY would people call for anything covered on the website???), ask for the restaurant. After like 10 rings I get back to the automated thing, pick connect AGAIN. Another 10 rings and a TERRIBLE recording (fuzzy and super quiet) about can't connect and can't leave a message. SEVEN calls, so 14 attempts to contact the restaurant, no answer. I kept calling until the tracker showed the driver leaving the restaurant, can't change my order any more.
Maybe leaving this review will finally result in fixing the issues:
My second time at this location. The first time they were giving away free mugs in exchange for a Google review, hence all the positive reviews (incentivized),it was a regular fast food chain experience.
The second time visiting was a bad experience. I placed an order for 2 chicken burgers in the Harvey’s app for drive-thru pick-up. Drove up to the intercom and told them I’m picking up a mobile order, they said to come to the window so I pulled up and waited for almost 15 minutes, there were no other cars behind me. Finally the worker opened the window and asks me in a confused tone if I want to place an order… I told them that I’m waiting for my mobile order and they handed me the order right away, no apology. As you can imagine the burgers were barely warm, I took a bite and tossed them into the trash. I didn’t bother returning them as the worker looked completely lost, don’t need to get aggravated even further.
