Jojo Pizza – NYC-Style Slices with Montréal Charm (Hold the Meat)

Jojo Pizza brings that classic New York slice shop vibe straight to Montréal. Think green-and-white checkered tiles, counter service, and that familiar hum of families grabbing a quick bite. No background music, no distractions… just pizza doing the talking.

It’s a kosher, fully vegetarian spot, so you won’t find any meat here…but you will find bold, satisfying flavor combos that don’t feel like they’re missing a thing.

Here’s what I tried:

🍕 Sweet, Salty & Spicy – My fave of the day. Garlic cream base, mozzarella, feta, red onion, pesto, hot peppers, and honey. The flavor layering is chef’s kiss… rich, balanced, and addictive.

🍕 Veggie – A nostalgic combo with tomato sauce, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and olives. Fresh and comforting.

🍕 Sauce Boss – For all my sauce lovers. A delicious medley of tomato, pesto, rosé, and garlic sauces with mozzarella. A saucy dream.

🍕 White Sauce with Mushrooms – Cozy and earthy, like a warm sweater in pizza form.

🍟 Spicy Fries – Golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Not just a side, these deserve their own spotlight.

Slices run about $5–6, and full pies are ideal for sharing. There’s even branded merch (tees, totes, hats) if you’re into pizza fashion… and honestly, I kinda am.

Whether you’re vegetarian, kosher, or just a pizza lover looking for something cheesy and comforting, Jojo’s got you.

Short and sweet of it: This is an authentic NY style pizza joint, and I'm still in shock that it actually surpasses a lot of NY pizza.

NYer who has been having pizza across Canada for 15 years or so. I've had a few places come very close to good NY style but it isn't quite there. You close your eyes eating JoJo's and it's like eating old school Brooklyn and Queens pizza. Thin as paper crispy crust, big foldable slices, sauce with soul and a cheese blend perfectly put together. Nice staff, clean shop, great neighborhood too. Again I'm in shock still, it legit does beat a lot of pizza in NY. The crust is perfection, to me that's the most important part. While NY has everyone beat with the cheese they use, you have to really love what you do and know how to do it well to make crust so good like JoJo does. And the sauce is perfect. Everything is great. There is some good pizza in Toronto even Prince Street opened a shop there, but it is going to be sad knowing I will be far away from here. Guaranteed in a few years time JoJo is going to be opening multiple locations, if Slice & Soda can get so much business making what they make then JoJos is going to be the most famous pizza...

Just had the pleasure of eating at this brand-new kosher pizza shop, and I have nothing but amazing things to say.
