After finishing a workout nearby and having skipped supper, I decided to stop in at L’Afghan Grillade without doing any research beforehand—a decision I would quickly regret. The dining area itself is well laid out, brightly lit, and features interesting décor, which initially made me optimistic. Unfortunately, the positives ended there, and the experience went sharply downhill. I ordered the shawarma sandwich trio, advertised outside on a large poster for $10.95 plus tax. However, I was charged $15 plus tax without any clear explanation. The disappointment didn’t stop there. The poster shows a generously stuffed shawarma, but what I received was a sandwich divided into two halves, each with two tiny pieces of meat and a generous helping of lettuce and French fries. It was, in all honesty, a lettuce and fry sandwich. Despite only three other tables being occupied, several tables hadn’t been cleared, and no one seemed in any rush to clean them. I even had to change tables because the one I initially chose—labeled as “clean”—had grains of rice still on it. My meal took over 20 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, it was barely warm. Taking a bite, the aroma of the meat immediately put me off. I ended up eating only the fries and drinking the soda before deciding enough was enough. With another shawarma spot just a block away, there’s no need to settle for this experience. I won’t forget to check Google reviews next time—and I certainly won’t be returning.

I was looking for an authentic Persian/Afghan Kebab and after checking their menu and reviews decided to give them a try. The quality of Kebab is terrible, tbh it is not even Kebab it is Lamb Shack like but very rough and not tender as you expect from other ME Kebabs! Don't forget I asked the guy who took order that I am looking for a great Aghani Kebab and he recommended it. The worst part was price, In first place I asked for the price of a full dish, including rice and salad for two persons and he said 44.50$. Then I ordered only Kebab without rice, etc. and later on when I paid I got to know that he charged me 22.25$!!!Such a shame that they are not honest in what they say. I hope the owner sees it and at least compensates for my expenses. For sure, I will not come back to this place because it just left me a horrible experience!

I never write reviews even if I had a bad experience, but I seriously don't understand how this restaurant got good reviews. We arrived and the tables were not cleaned. Ordered the ribs, potatoes, sabzi and burgers. The burgers taste like 2$ burgers. The lamb ribs were so thinly sliced and burned and so dry. Asked for lemon/oil on the salad, they said they would do it, but after I received the order there was simply no dressing on it. I was told later they did not have lemon. Had I known I would have subbed the salad for something else. The potatoes are undercooked, I seriously don't understand how you can ruin potatoes. And the soft drinks from the water fountain are so diluted. We threw out most of the food as it was not edible.

i went to their location and ordered a Herath Kebab I did inform the person at the counter I dont like mince meet kebab I also asked for a plate with no rice the say it will be extra 1$ The plate normally comes with fries, rice and salad I was told it will take 20 minutes, I did pay in advance I waited in my car for the time I came back after 22 mins My order was not ready ... it was a lie they give it to someone else When I came back i was told it was not ready I had to wait another 20 mins to prepare it I took my order did not check it at the restaurant when I got home it was not the plate that I ordered. I cant eat it or eat the rice. I put in the bag to return the next day I called they were close or no one was answering I called the next day someone answer I told him what happen, he mention it was not him who served me the day before I asked if I can speak with Owner he told me she does not come to this branch I can try the Cote vertu store she is there most of the times Than the line was cut I did call back to ask for the store number I called the other branch left my info to receive a call back from the owner Ella I did not get a call back I did call back after 1 day since Ella did not call me back when i finally spoke with Ella She was Rude and not professional with no class She told me she cant do anything after I told her it was not my fault and I dont eat rice I just received rice and I did not eat MY plate it was disgusting I did not like it She (Ella) have the balls to tell me that she cant do anything about the error made by them but she can give me credit for the price different as a store credit to use on my next order. The food was ok but the customer service was HORRIBLE. Unfortunately, it seems like a common complaint based on the reviews.

I went to the restaurant to order. Was told that it was too late to dine in given it was close to closing time, which was fine as I wanted takeout anyways. I paid for the order and asked how long it would take. I was told 15 minutes. Given that there were no orders after me or didn't see anyone else waiting for food, it sounded reasonable to me.

After 25 minutes or so, I walked up to the cashiers and asked how the food was coming along. I was told that once ready, someone will come give it to me.

I was called after 45 minutes with my food. I told the cashier that this was way beyond 15 minutes. He said he didn't know the kitchen would take so long. He said 15 minutes based on the fact that there were no other orders. I told him nicely that had I known it was 45 minutes to prepare, I would have kindly left and not ordered . I asked if they could compensate me for the time, which is a fair request. He said he could maybe give beverages but that's it. I said if it was possible to speak to a manager but he told me she left. I said I'd call tomorrow and asked for the drinks compensation. He then recanted that and said no, and have a nice evening. When the other workers came to ask what happened, I tried to explain but the guy cut me off and told me to have a nice evening.

I honestly wonder how businesses like this survive with such bad customer experience, despite all the feedback. This place doesn't care for that, so long as they make money...
