Cora — Restaurant in Montreal

I really like the logo and the vibes there. There are MANY options on the menu, few seem vegetarian friendly and almost none seem to be vegan. After a good amount of searching, I ordered a vegetarian burrito. It was pretty good even though the wrap may have been a little undercooked. I, unfortunately, did get a hair in my plate. It was not a huge deal. I nicely asked to have my plate changed and the response was positive and kind. I also noticed that they forgot to put the sauce in my first plate. They did add it in my second one after I had my meal replaced. I mean, these things happen. I also had some tea with Splenda, it was really good! The food is super filling. If you’re an average eater, you may be able to finish a full meal. I had the rest of mine for lunch. They have a rewards program if you’re interested. The experience was decent and service was very good, but it won’t be my go-to breakfast place. I would recommend several other places before recommending Cora. The service was bad and the food was nothing great. I ordered a crepe with chocolate hazelnut spread and bananas. The chocolate spread was dark chocolate and the crepe was crispy because it had been overcooked. The service was by far the worst part. We waited 45 minutes for our food. We asked what was going on and were told someone in the kitchen got injured so things were slower. This is 100% okay with me, you can't control when unfortunate things happen. However, it was our waitress' responsibility to inform us of the delay with our food. We were left in the dark, waiting for food that didn't end up being very tasty or warm. Our waitress was also constantly avoiding us, I had asked for water 3 times and she only remembered when she gave us the bill... I wouldn't recommend...

I came by earlier today with my sister and 1 year old son and didn’t expect such a great service ! I expected the ordinary respectful waiters but wow , they were so kind and great with kids. They had high chairs , colouring papers with crayons , activity books. They also gave my son a cute little reusable plastic cup and even a balloon before we left. The waiters were super kind and friendly and the manager too. The only point of improvement would be the food. Which was 3.5/5.
