I was actually excited to come to this place for a long time because i always passed by and it's on my "to go list" but it really disappointed me. I have no clue about the other Pho Mymy but this location is a "no go" for me. Although, it looks nice from the inside the food was just not good to put it politely.
The fried wonton was hideous, it was not fried as in the picture and there was a funny after taste which was really not good. As if it was spoiled already. The spicy mayo also wasn't good. Must be avoided.
The egg rolls was just below average for me.
The pho was below average for me also. The broth was okay but not bad and the meat was not good it was really tough.
In the end, i end up having a stomach pain and constant washroom visitation right after eating here. Which is why i give it a 1 star. I wouldn't come back to this location again there is just wayy better pho places in montreal, you can go to. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Among all the Pho places i have been to this is bottom tier for me.
Reply: What difference does it make if i make a review on the same day? I could be making 20 other reviews on the same day and i still remember them and my experience in those restos with the same dish because i always order the same thing for most pho places especially if its my first time. I did this review out of my experience in Pho mymy which is not a good one. Yes, i could have sent all of the meal back and just leave but i was already hungry at that point and wanted to eat pho and this pho Mymy disapointed me and i still remember it as if it was yesterday. You guys were the closes option for me at that time since it was near closing time. Also how can i get refund if i have to pay at the end? I choose to eat and mind you i did not finish the food or take-out and i rather pay since you guys still did your work on the expense of me having a bad...
Read moreAs my dance studio(Danse Central) is on Mazurette adjacent to Marche Central I am often rummaging for food after class in the area. Pho Mymy(9460 L'Acadie) was my first discovery. You know that this tiny restaurant has something special to offer when line ups regularly appear for their most popular Tokinoise soup even on hot days. The smooth clear brooth, apparently a family heritage recipe, and freshly made noodles are blended with parboiled vegetables (very crisp)such as broccoli and yellow squash. Every bowl is preceeded by a plate of raw bean sprouts, a sprig of mint and scallion sticks. Pick the mint leaves and throw them and the sprouts into the broth along with a squeezed lime. Now you are ready to indulge in a large bowl of rich broth abetted by your choice of chicken , beef or bean curd. Grilled chicken and veggies is my favorite Add some hoisin or chilli sauce to taste and one is ready for a tasty meal while checking your messages and watching an amazing rotation of Asian and local customers from the area.. $9 including tax buys you...
Read moreA picture tells a thousand words... look at the google review pictures of the Pho / Bun Bo Hue 3-4 years ago and those today. This restaurant is taking shortcuts to either increase margins or accommodate higher demand due to delivery orders. The soups no longer have the depth of flavor it used to an it is a shame given the high % of Vietnamese customers they have that they thought we would not notice. The meat portions are smaller, despite the prices increasing. Giving us lemons as toppings instead of lime? Big fail. Again, your customers are predominantly Vietnamese, you thought they wouldn't notice? I live 1 minute away from this restaurant, and have since travelled or ordered from the Pho Mymy in Laval which at this present time is infinitely better and retains its recipes that made them famous in the first place. Sorry Acadie, but adding more cinnamon/cardamon to your pho broth to mask the lack of depth in beef broth, or adding more spices in your bun bo hue broth to dilute it and produce more yield, its not...
