Unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. My first impression coming into the space was wonderful. The bank is just beautiful. The food was all very good but the service was terrible and what was even more disappointing was the entertainment. Nothing like the videos online. I mean nothing!
Details if you want to read on: Upon sitting we got menus which were dirty and looked very worn, the table was wobbly and had 2 broken glasses, considering the caliber I thought that was very sloppy. Ordered drinks, appetizers and I got the $230 6oz wagyu. It took about 30 min before we got our first entrees. There was a miss communication on which should come first so they brought out our $230 steak first while we were in the restroom. Yes a cool sparkler presentation for the other guests at the table. They bought us a round of drinks for the miscommunication. Oh we waited a while for two out of the 5 drinks because the bar was backed up at 10:30z Honestly didn’t care that the steak came first but I think it’s important to make sure the guest is seated before bringing out food. We asked for wasabi and a sauce for our sushi and waited over 20 min for it. Not great since you really need those to finish eating your meal. After food we ordered dessert, the Dubai chocolate and macaroons. We waited an easy 40 min for it. They totally forgot about it, the staff asked us if we were all set only to find out we hadn’t received our dessert. They were so interested in moving our table it took away from the experience. The food was delicious, the steak was amazing, drinks were great and dessert was ok. Dubai chocolate was great the macarons came out of a box and were not great. Ok entertainment during dinner was a joke. Nothing like cabaret or even close to the...
Read moreI am not someone who typically writes reviews but this is something that needs to be addressed. On Saturday, while waiting in the insane coat check line (a whole another issue). I witnessed a bouncer push a girl into a wall. Standing close to this group I was able to witness the entire thing. We were waiting to get our jackets on the stairs for 30-40 min and this girl wanted to get some air (rightfully so as everyone in line was complaining of the heat). The bouncer became very hostile and got into her face and pushed her against a wall back into the line… could you only imagine if she was drunk and she ended up falling down those marble stairs.. He not only physical assaulted that girl but also uttered many threats to her and her friends. The most memorable was him indicating that he is going to “drag them out by their hair”. It is disgusting that such a “luxury” establishment promotes this type of behaviour.
I saw there was a bunch of other reviews about this from people who also witnessed this and it shows how traumatic this event really was. Bouncers should be defusing any situation and not starting or escalating it. I’ve been to La voute many times and I will now not recommend or return to this establishment. This disgusting behaviour puts anyone at risk of being assaulted. I hope this girl takes legal action and charges him for assault and uttering threats. You can scroll through the reviews this is obviously a common problem as many people have written similar things about their staff from other nights. La Voute has to take corrective measures! Treating women like this in 2024 or ANYONE is...
Read moreWe reserved a $1,000 booth at La Voûte for a group of nine people. When booking, we took the time to check the different booths and prices. The person who made the reservation over the phone confirmed that a $1,000 booth was much better, with at least six seats, which was not attributable to the $750 booth. On site, we had the worst seat in the Club, in a corner, with a bench that barely had two seats. The juice on the bench had already been poured into open containers, and half the drinks were missing for the cocktails. The service was far from up to scratch.
When booking, we made sure to confirm the prices, which were supposed to be $1,000 + tax + a minimum 18% tip. Furthermore, we were there to celebrate a birthday, so we asked if we could have the illuminated badge with the waitresses. We were assured that there was no extra charge for the $1,000 booth. Once there, we never saw the color of this badge, and they told us that we had to buy an additional bottle. When it came time to pay the bill, when the waitress saw that we had added an 18% tip, she took the machine back, mentioning that we couldn't leave just 18%, but a minimum of 20%. All in all, a total of $1,420 for a 750 ml bottle of rum and 1.75 L of vodka.
This was our first and last time at this place. False information throughout. At that price, make sure you're getting what you paid for and what you...
