It's rare to find a restaurant that truly delivers on every front—ambience, service, and most importantly, food—but this place absolutely nailed it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt inviting, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. We started with a selection of appetizers that impressed across the board. The grilled octopus had a wonderful smoky flavor, perfectly complemented by well-seasoned greens. The calamari was delightfully crispy and light, not greasy. We had the following soups: the tomato soup was rich and creamy with a beautifully balanced flavor, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster chunks, and the clam chowder was indulgently creamy and brimming with fresh clam meat. For our main courses, we tried the walleye, scallops, the Creole crab and lobster ravioli. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. The ravioli was stuffed generously with real lobster meat and none of the usual tasteless filler (cheese). Every plate was a hit with our group. Service was top-notch, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, William. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our night better. If you’re heading here, definitely ask for William’s table—he’s exactly the kind of server you hope for when dining out. This restaurant has earned a spot at the top of my list, and I’ll definitely be back when I'm in Montreal again.

Great seafood restaurant! A bit pricey but top quality, fresh ingredients and generous portions. The greeting is fast and professional, the service is efficient and very friendly. Arguably the best seafood restaurant in Montreal, certainly the oldest, just a 3 minute walk from the Notre Dame basilica in the Old Port. As you come in you are greeted by one of the owners through the bar section, where you can see the original stools and lamps from the 1930s. You get the feel of a classic neighbourhood joint, full of regulars, very busy. The cocktails are generous (6 oz martinis). They have an outstanding seafood tower, very festive . The seafood pasta is outstanding. The Dover sole Meuniere is the house specialty, and it's the best i've had anywhere. Also we tried lobster ravioli, which was a highlight. The staff is super friendly and professional, and the owners are charming. Strongly recommend, overall a great value. They offer valet parking for $15

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chez Delmo during a visit to town for a conference, and I can't recommend it enough. A large group of us walked in unannounced, and yet, they were able to accommodate us immediately, which speaks volumes about their hospitality. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and classy, offering a setting that is both elegant and welcoming. Owner Benoit was an absolute delight—his warmth and charisma added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. Our server, David, was equally impressive. He was not only attentive and professional, but also incredibly informative, ensuring we felt taken care of throughout the meal. Each dish was absolutely exquisite and the entire experience, from the ambiance to the food to the service, was nothing short of unforgettable. If you're ever in town, make sure to visit Chez Delmo, it's an absolute gem.

Title: A Culinary Delight!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, the experience was impeccable, leaving me with a lasting impression. Adrian our server was incredible and polite from start to finish.

The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with a tasteful décor that exuded elegance. Adrian greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making me feel right at home. Their attention to detail and impeccable service truly elevated the dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The menu offered a diverse range of options, catering to various dietary preferences. Each dish was to die for but my personal favourite was the Beef Carpaccio. The flavors were well-balanced and left me wanting more. The mains of Surf N Turf plus the Seafood Pasta also had flavors that kept me wanting more and so we’ll balance.

In addition to the extraordinary food, the pricing was at a perfect range for the food you get, considering the high quality of ingredients and the overall experience. It's safe to say that I got more than my money's worth!

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience. From the warm ambiance, impeccable service, and mouthwatering dishes, this place truly stands out. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual night out, this restaurant will exceed your expectations. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

I can only speak to my “to go” experience here but the food was excellent.

I happened upon this place because it was close to my hotel and most joints around here didn’t do to go at a busy dinner hour. When I walked in the owner was proudly perched on a barstool sipping down a beer, he is for lack of a more sophisticated term a world class bullshitter/ black belt conversationalist. Anyways he kept on making suggestions to me that were on the pricey side, my first thought was he wanted to separate me from my money but every single dish he recommended was spot on and the lobster club was my wife’s favorite of all the food we had in Montreal.

Here’s a list of the dishes we ate:

Shelled crab appetizer- pricey but delicious and saves your precious knuckles from cracking the meat out of the shell.

Lobster club - pricey but as I said before this was my wife’s favorite, lots of lobster meat with some delicate spices and bacon in such proportions that it didn’t drown out the subtle sweet flavor of the lobster.

Lobster bisque- mixed reviews. I loved it because they used less cream and had a good density of flavor but my wife likes more creamy bisque.

Endive salad with forgettable other stuff tossed in - this one was underdressed and bland overall... I just fell asleep thinking about it.

So in conclusion:

Staff/owner where awesome and select food was very tasty.

I raise my fork to you...
