In depth review:
I had the chance to visit Le P’tit Atelier, Boulangerie & Pâtisserie in Montreal for a late birthday treat with a friend, and it was such a lovely experience. The vibe of the place is cozy, and the pastries are clearly crafted with care.
I started with a macchiato, which was smooth and well-balanced—nothing too strong, but just right for a little caffeine boost. The tiramisu, though, was definitely the star of the show. It was so creamy and perfectly balanced, with the right mix of sweetness and coffee flavor. It was honestly one of the best I’ve had.
The passion fruit tartlet was also a winner—refreshing and tangy, with a nice buttery crust. It was light but flavorful, though I did wish there was just a bit more filling. I ended with the vanilla baba au rhum, which was super moist, but I found the flavor a bit too mild. I expected the rum to pop a little more, but the texture...

I am, however, an extremely frequent dessert eater. And I found the carameline to be FAR too sweet. I have a huge sweet tooth, to the point where I go through periods of eating at least one pastry (if not more) a day. I love sugar. I have a high tolerance for sugar. There are few things that give me more joy than eating a pastry so delicious that I remember, years later, the single occasion upon which I had the privilege to taste said pastry. The carameline was too sweet.
The staff and environment are quite enjoyable, but for me, the food comes first...
