FULL DISCLOSURE: This is based on pre opening impressions as they aren't even opened yet.
Also they have 10 5 stars reviews on FB?!? Most of them dating from January 2018 that's just plain sloppy/lazy review faking.
FOLLOW UP REVIEW: This place is brand new and it's not worth it. Avoid it if you can. It's attractive because it is new for the area but they are failing on virtually all aspects. I think these reviews are rigged and the fact that they had 10+ 5* reviews before even being opened supports my theory.
The tables are wobbly reminder: this was a month old when I went. -It was approx 35°C out and their AC could not handle it. -Had the burger and and it was ok. Compared to other bars/pubs in Montreal a but small for price but the fries were good. It was loud... I mean very VERY loud. There was a group of 10 ppl havung a good time next to us so it is to be expected but something about this place is just terrible. They were not super loud but it felt extremely amplified. -worst part... The service. We got there sat at wobbly with uncomfortable seats (it's a pub for F's sakes get comfy stuff). We moved to other table without any fuss. Ordered food, a couple of beers, a couple if shot. Finished food. Waitress come back with bill. We didn't ask for the bill, we were going to stay there for a while, grab a couple of more drinks. But she cut our evening short! I've never been in a situationlike this before. We had 2 drinks each... Not drunk or obnoxious.
Avoid this place, there is a better place right down the street, not the fastest service around but it is clean, good, and they will be happy to serve you. A pub is a place to be comfortable, to grab a few drinks, and relax. Some turn up the party at like 11 or so but at 5 it's a place to chill. Comfy chairs, table, setting, and a relaxed friendly environment is what makes a pub successful. Dont waste your time...

Le Trèfle has quickly become our regular haunt for 5 à 7s, and it's not hard to see why. The pub exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and spend the evening. The old-school dark wood decor enhances the charm and character of the place, making each visit feel a bit like a step back in time.
What stands out about Le Trèfle, aside from the ambience, is the quality of their food. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a meal, you can expect tasty, well-prepared dishes that complement the laid-back vibe of the pub.
The staff adds to the appeal, always providing friendly and efficient service. They help to create the welcoming, casual environment that makes Le Trèfle a great place to relax and unwind.
When the weather allows, the summer terrace at the front of the pub is a fantastic spot to enjoy your food and drinks in the open air. It's another aspect of Le Trèfle that keeps us coming back.
In short, Le Trèfle ticks all the boxes for a quality pub: great atmosphere, good food, friendly service, and an enjoyable outdoor space. It's a place that feels comfortably familiar yet always offers something...
Read moreI agree with another reviewer to avoid this place if loud music is not your thing. Don’t expect to be able to hold a conversation at a respectable level We were seated on the 2nd floor and indeed the music was very loud. We had to almost shout at each other to hear one another 😅.
Service to order was prompt and nice as for the food, we had waited for almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive.
Plateau des Mers was okay, the rillettes poisson (cod) was a little tasteless for my liking. I won’t order this item again but may return to try something else on their menu.
We also tried their Grand-Trèfle Burger and it was a tad overdone for us. For $34.21 ($29.75 before tax), I would expect a better quality burger with fries with better taste.
The Crème Brûlée du Moment was Smoked Maple Syrup and had what we thought was a hint of bacon taste but we verified with the waitstaff that there wasn’t any bacon 😂 and it was due to the smoked maple syrup that may have given the “smokey/baconey” taste. Very interesting...
