I went in for a chocolatine and a coffee.
Chocolatine was a bit pale, and not as flaky on the outside as I like. Coffee was nothing special compared to what you get in the many great cafés here in Little Italy.
Service was fine - young people doing their job - nothing extra. They have a 30 second interaction and then onto the next in line. I think it is possible to do better. I think the service is more personal with greater connection at Froment et de sève on Beaubien/Casgrain.
Still in my opinion as far as bread goes, still the best bakery in the local area. Maybe I prefer the chocolatines from Automne on Beaubien/Christophe Colomb.
The interior is pretty plain/clean/plastic/concrete/fake-wood. Not a cozy place to drink coffee, but it is primarily a bakery, that sells bread-to-go, so all good.
I think sometimes businesses can get caught up in the idea that everything is good.
I think there is room for improvement to stay at the top...
Read moreI have been a fan of Louise for years. When I am in little italy I always make it a point to stop by Today however I had a horrible experience. I was in line waiting to be served but when it came to my turn the girl went straight to the guy behind me because it was obvious it was someone she knew! I was patient and decided that I would be next. Well it seems I might have been invisible today because they served the second person behind me. They basically just ignores me waiting there staring at them waiting to be served! I could have caused a seen but I didn’t I just left and went somewhere else to fill my $240 order Will I go back to Louise? No. I think customer service is really important , obviously this doesn’t exist at Louise. I won’t be back. Will go somewhere else where people will acknowledge...
Read moreAll our family members love to buy our favorite breads and croissants from this well-known bakery. They make their breads and croissants with distinct and unique ingredients. There is no comparison among theirs, Tim Horton's & Cosco's qualitywise. One event happened about 4 months ago. My daughter was heading to Calgary to visit my son and daughter-in-law. Learning that my son is crazy about the croissants from Louise Boulangerie, she decided to get 12 croissants from this bakery to bring there. But it happened out of 12, 6 were super burnt & uneatable. MY wife and my daughter were very disappointed. I went to explain this case to the management about one week later and then the boss handled the case nicely with class. A VERY RESPECTFUL AND LOVELY STORE. ...
