Let me start this review with - I'm Sicilian and have high standards for Rice balls. Although I rarely meet an Arancini I don't like -its hard to find that childhood homemade taste (meat, cheese, and sauce ragu style). This place, definitely knocks it out of the park. Although they weren't 100% like Nonnas (are they ever) they came super close. The sauce on the side was incredibly flavorful. We also shared a chicken sandwich that I will be attempting to replicate when I get back home to Toronto. - again full of flavour and so well balanced. Although I hadn't planned on it, due to fear of disappointment, i was so blow away that i ended up ordering a cannoli to go. Piped fresh on the spot (only way to do it so it doesnt get soggy sitting all day) it was just as amazing as the rest. My only complaint was it was a bit pricey side but, for a treat while away from home it was worth it. The owner who cooked and served us (its not sit down, she just brought us our food) was super sweet. you can tell she has passion. From one Sicilian to another. job well done! Its hard to find cute little places like...
Read moreI recently discovered Manuzza Arancini Bar & Mercato in Little Italy, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in Montreal. If you’re a fan of Italian food or just looking for something delicious and authentic, this place is a must-try.
The arancini here are incredible - crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned and creamy inside, with a great variety of fillings. I’ve tried several flavors, and each one was packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s clear they put a lot of care into making these traditional Sicilian snacks.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. They also have options for gluten-free and vegan diets, which I really appreciate.
I’ve ordered both in-store and for takeout, and the food always arrives fresh and tasty. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion size.
If you want authentic Sicilian flavors without leaving Montreal, Manuzza is the place to go. Highly recommend it for anyone craving something different...
Read moreStrolling through Little Italy, we stumbled upon Manuzza by chance, and it turned out to be the highlight of our day. This cozy, intimate spot keeps its menu focused, but that’s where the magic lies—everything they serve is done to perfection. We sampled each of their arancini offerings, and WOW, they were simply incredible. The flavors were so on point that we couldn’t help but dive in immediately, hence the lack of food photos!
Beyond the food, Manuzza nails it on every level. The prices feel more than fair for the quality, the service is warm and welcoming, and the overall experience is superb. It’s clear that every detail has been carefully considered. Safe to say, we’ll be returning—and maybe next time, we’ll manage to snap a few photos before devouring...
