Worst service I have ever received in a restaurant! On top of that the food wasn't cheap and pretty bad.
It took forever for one of the waiters to come and serve us (the restaurant wasn't busy at all and there was several employee). He then gave us the card wine and completely forgot about us. He later explained the menu in 2 seconds (most of my friends didn't even understand what was on the menu because of how quickly he explained it. Also, my friend had to remind him that she wanted to order wine. It then took a long time to receive our appetizers, my fried calamari was super salty and my friend's meatballs were cold in the center! Then, we received our main courses which were either underwhelming or super salty once again. When, it came time to pay, we took a separate bill and the waiter wasn't even able to stay with us in between each person paying. He would go serve tables in between and we would just be sitting there waiting for him.
Overall, it was a bad experience, bad food and bad service. Don't let the nice decor fool you, clearly overcompensating for something. ( I don't know if the bad service was due to the fact that we were younger than the average crowd but if that's the case, I really don't appreciate the...
Read moreStuck inside on a cold Montreal night, dreaming of some patio time?
Hit up Antica! The adorable outdoor string lights and vine ceiling make you feel like you’re on a trendy rooftop patio.
First of all, let’s cover the appies. They are ON POINT.
You get olives, roasted red pepper, focaccia, and French bread with butter when you first sit down. I freaking love little nibbles because I usually arrive starving.
Random point - they charged $1 each for water service. Pretend you’re in Europe I guess.
Dinner was delish. They must have a rotating menu since they only have it written on chalk boards, so I expect it’s seasonal. Which is both good and bad - if you fall in love with a dish you’ll probably gamble if it’s available next time or not. But I get the feeling everything here is good.
Really likes the wine I had too. (I mean, wine right? #yum)
If you get a seat in the front part of the restaurant with the leaves it’s a great romantic date restaurant. If you’re seated in the back overflow room you kind of miss out on the ambiance so I’d request the...
Read moreThe waiter I had Tuesday afternoon @2h30~ had a very bad energy & it almost felt like he was doing you a favour every time you asked for him. I ordered a glass of moscato, he specifically told me it was a sweet dessert wine & was judgmental about the order we decided to take, none the less we still ordered, all of our food came a different times, my friend received & finished his lasagna before my risotto even got to the table but the worst part is that our server tried to pass a glass of cheap white wine as the moscato we ordered, naturally I called him back to tell him that this was not moscato & demanded to see the bottle. At that moment he knew he got caught so immediately tried to move my attention & get me to order something else; the restaurant was beautiful & food was delicious & for that reason I let it go & didn't make a further scene & ordered something else. We will never come back here, honestly the worst experience i’ve had dinning in montreal.
Respect to the owner, & 100% good job to the...
