MARCHE GRILLADE LAFIRENZE — Restaurant in Montreal

I usually don’t review but this needed me to.

I went there because the one I usually go to on Jean Talon was full and I really wanted Congolese goat meat. Needless to say, stay loyal people.

This place’s customer service is horrible. Guy asked us to check the menu again when my friend and I said we only wanted glasses of water. 20 minutes pass, no sign of water. Another table ordered beer and they got it right away. After almost an hour of waiting, we tell them we would rather take the food to go. At that time he had the glasses of water on a tray for us and another table but because we said we wanted it to go, he took the water to a table of people arriving. Lucky them.

No utensils in the bag, and the bag was oily. We finally started eating - in my car, mind you. My friend ordered chicken with rice and plantains. She didn’t like the chicken but liked the rice. I ordered goat meat with plantains. We both thought the plantains was burnt. My meat was either too hard or too fatty. Some weren’t properly good. Le sigh.

I will say this the food is good but the attitude we got my husband and I from the wife to the kid at the front desk is awful . I can understand they may be tired we are all humans . But if I go buy something it’s not free it’s a service to each other . We came say hi saying we order some food the lady was inconsiderate all along till we got our food . She was really rude . I won’t go back if I have to be treated like this . Again the food is good . So good...

Worst customer service ever. When you call them to place an order, their attitude is like you are bothering and annoying them. And when you ask questions such as how long will it take for your order to be ready or how much does it cost for the delivery service, most of the time they will tell you "I don't know" in a way meaning "how the hell will I know that".
