Sept 22 2023 800pm After my original review I decided tried and have been using this location 1-2 per month for breakfast generally before 800AM and generally flawless service, congrats to those managers and crew. Great job!!!
I was actually about to update my review until tonight, I guess I just pressed my luck too much. Started off good no customers at drive thru, I drive up and wait. Wait, wait, car pulls into other lane orders (it happens), but then 3 cars are served on that lane before someone takes my order. My order is super complicated poutine, and plain cheeseburger. I stop at first window to pay, confirm with employee plain cheeseburger? yes. I get to pick up, confirm again with employee plain cheeseburger? yes. I receive my food and decide to check. Right away I notice no special sticker on cheeseburger, I open to check and sure enough it’s a regular cheeseburger. Employee opens drive thru window again and I am still there, she looks confused, I mention it’s not a plain cheeseburger. Keep in mind is the same employee who confirmed to me not 30 seconds earlier it was a plain cheeseburger, asks me « did you order a plain cheeseburger?? », dramatic pause then voila you can light goes on, oh yeah. I will get you a plain cheeseburger, again wait,wait wait. After a few minutes employee asks me to park on side. Reluctantly I do, keep in mind i have my poutine already which is cooling off, after 10 min an employee walks out with a bag and cheeseburger (you will notice I didn’t say fresh, just cheeseburger) Again I check, no sticker? I look, onions are actually scraped off kinda but mustard ketchup and pickle still there. Is the scraping off process something that is in the McD’s operation manual? Does it meet health code standards. I get out of car, go into store ask to speak to a Mgr, drive thru employee sees me and avoids eye contact at all costs, Mgr finally comes over apologizes and shakes his head, places my order. I feel bad for the Manager, the crew are all over the place, seem new and confused. After a few minutes I walk out without my plain cheeseburger, I have had enough. In this case I definitely fault the Mgr, my replacement order (3rd try) should have jumped the queue and been prioritized. Service excellence at its best. My prediction, McD will be like Sears and KMart in a few years unless the make some radical changes quickly. McD doesn’t care, the reviews below are mostly all te same. Unlike other merchants, not have any comments or acknowledgement from McD Mgmt, clearly they do not care, riding the brand wave. It catches up to every one eventually. I challenge anyone to try and submit a compliant on McDonalds web site. Like many places these days nobody cares, it’s a shame.
Original Post 2021 Been living in this area and using this Location for more than 10 years and it always disappoints. If it’s beyond a standard trio, they rarely get it correct. Just this AM I ordered, person taking order reconfirmed, person collecting payment reconfirmed, person handing over food at window reconfirmed, gave me my coffees and asked me to park on the side, hash browns were cooking, person who brought food to car confirmed, I looked quickly and it seemed correct, drove home. Read moreIt's a McDonald's! I went there during lunch time on a Saturday... it's obviously going to be a zoo. They made errors on my order. The owner/manager seemed to be there just bossing ppl around not really helping.
The place was clean.
There was an employee that was going around the self served screen, filling the paper. She was a lovely person...One of the patron came in and started complaining about how it is unacceptable that her order was incorrect, how the previous manager was great, how the cashier was incompetent, blah blah blah.. I mean it's McDonald on a Saturday calm down! It's not a 5* sit down! Anyway this employee handled it like a pro! She just apologized, asked how they could make it right, etc...She even helped me bring the 2 tray of food at my table as my wife was waiting with the kids. She came back smiled at my 3 year old and gave her a balloon. Remember we are talking full McD on Saturday she was going around picking up trash, making sure the kids were happy, helping as much as possible. My most recent visit I ordered 4 ice creams, 3 coffees, a donut and a Coke. The order number listed on the screen disappeared after 15 minutes. I tried to attract any employee's attention (12 people working, nobody near the counters) and 5 minutes later I got a hold of the manager. When asking why after 20 minutes I still don't have my order at a fast-food restaurant, he said they were working on it & suddenly someone appeared and 7 minutes later I got my order.
This is not the only time I have to wait forever to get a simple order. MacDonald's has become more and more cumbersome and waits are lengthier than they used to be which is why I now go once / twice a year. As a comparison I was at a sit-down restaurant the day before and got my order served within 10 minutes.
On another note, cleanliness was average and they got my order right (they don't always do.)
