McDonald's — Restaurant in Montreal

I am writing this review because what I witnessed today at this McDonald's location left me feeling profoundly embarrassed as a Montrealer, a Québécois, and a Canadian.

On August 4, 2025, around 8 PM, I entered this McDonald's and paid for a black coffee through the self-service station. I noticed only two other customers were waiting near the pick-up counter, so I figured I would be out in just a few minutes.

After about ten minutes of waiting for my black coffee, I overheard a couple, who had arrived before me, commenting in Spanish, "Look, there are seven workers behind the counter, and none of them are doing any actual work!" Upon hearing this, I began to pay more attention and realized the couple from Spain were correct.

I approached the pick-up counter and noticed that the workers, with astonishing indifference to their responsibilities, were engaged in lengthy conversations, but not in any of Canada's official languages. They were speaking in their native language.

I asked them what was causing the delay, as there seemed to be only three orders pending—surely not too much for seven staff members to handle. They continued their chatter in their ethnic language and ignored me completely.

I don't know whether this particular McDonald's is a franchise or corporate-owned, but it is clearly poorly managed. It is unacceptable for seven employees of the same ethnicity to engage in prolonged conversations in a foreign language while disregarding the labour laws of Quebec and Canada. They should be communicating in either French or English in a workplace that...

I went to this Mc Donald last monday i ordered to trio ,happy meal and poutine and when i arrived home the 2 large fries is missing.so i called and someone on the phone told me to go the next day and they will give me my full order and i can ask anyone at the store .she get my name!the next day i came back i went to the line,i asked about it and he asked the manager with the black curly hair then he comes back to me and wait.but she didn't even look at me at the times goes .then i fall in line again and ask the guy in the counter I'm getting pissed off already.he asked his manager again but that manager didn't even go to me again so i wait trying to calm down because as i near on my boiling point!ill went outside and was a bit then i came back i saw the white lady again even though i know she is not the manager asked her if she is the manager 'she went to the manager and finally the manager came to me i explained what happened ,then she asked me what do want to do i already told her and she is asking me that?what an idiot?then she went inside and came back again she told if i want the 2 trio said yes.she went inside .i feel so bad the tears started to come out from my eyes what do they take from me am i a beggar to humiliate me like that!so when she came back i didn't accept whatever she gave me and dash toward the door crying on my way home'i feel so little.its their fault 'what kind of service is that!HOrrible staff on mc Donald DEcarie!i came around 5pm that time!I if i can give 0 star to them i want to.they don't receive any star for their...

Hi Everyone What I’m about to tell you is not the mistake of the business or owner or all the workers. It’s just about 1 person ‘Mustafa’.

He’s a cashier and the day is valentines day 2021. I was delivering with UberEats since morning and around 5 pm I went to pick up an order and with that I ordered myself a Jr Chicken. This is my normal break-snack practice because McD is fastest at making Jr Chicken. He told me I’m being unprofessional and it’s rule that I cannot order while delivery. I explained him my order will take few seconds and the customer’s order is going to take 5 minute more, at least. He was rude but gave me the burger while I was waiting for customer’s order I decided to go take a leak in washroom. McDonalds is the only place that allows uber driver use restrooms such like other customers. Mustafa told me not to go anywhere and said I’m bringing your food. He gave me the customer’s order and said bye like he was making sure I don’t use the restroom. Later, he reported me on UberEats for being unprofessional.
