Finally I visited today after wanting to for over a year. Wow, a barista’s heaven. I was lucky to be there while the owner Simon was there. We got to talk about their cardamom cortado recipe (which is a labour of love) - super impressive btw (hello my Arabs); they found a way to have the right balance without involving a syrup nor the graininess of cardamom usually found is such drinks. A perfect specialty coffee hommage to the traditional drink in the Middle East.

That cardamom cortado was to try, but I came for a light roast cortado, which was very impressive. They roast their own beans, which usually means subpar roasted coffee, but they REALLY know what they’re doing and Simon is very thoughtful of his strategy behind their coffee bean offering. Chapeau!

What was best about the shop though, the reason this was so memorable, was actually the space itself. Super conducive to conversation with the person you’re sitting beside. Rare these days to have a tight shop with that sense...
