NextDoor Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Montreal

I review ALOT of places on this site and most of the time I'm pretty sharp and quick with my reviews but for this place I'm going to take my time and review what I really think of this place.

I love how when the place is packed on a Saturday night the servers at the front are open right away with you about seating, they really have a finger on the pulse of what table will be done soon and how long till it's available. Once my friends and I were seated we were told about the specials and were brought ice cold drinks within minutes, the menu has lots of items but very easy and simple to navigate.

We ordered -3 pints of 50 -3 pounds of Wings -Cheese bite -Deep fried pickles -Jalapeno poppers

Food review: The food was AMAZING! Wings were hot and the sauce was spot on taste, BBQ tasted like BBQ Cheese bites were the best! all of my friends (& myself) loved them the best Jalapeno poppers weren't too spicy but just perfect.

Atmosphere: This vibes were perfect and because the place is kinda small it really brings a...I wanna say "together" feel to the place, the music isn't too loud and the lights are set for the perfect level for reading menus and getting to the washroom back and forth without any issue.

Environment: This place was very clean and tidy for anyone looking at offense uncleanness you won't find anything wrong here, the smell from the kitchen is what you want to smell.

Location: It's in a great location in Montreal and is just a stones throw from the nearest metro station, When I move to Montreal I hope to leave near this place because it's in such a perfect little spot.

Overall: I love this place and I feel like I don't hand out perfect stars very often but I'm giving it to this place, I've been a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The TV's are perfect for watching Habs games and the beer was always cold and glass never empty, the staff really earns the tips at the end of the night. I love the specials on wings! don't ever change this! PLEASE!!

It's good to visit a good pub with good food and good people, good hard working people. I hope to return again...

This place is really awesome!must try! Place -- i know the place is a bit small and compact but who cares i came here for the food and beer not to mention their awesome dessert ;) ,basically it would be difficult to hear each other cause it gets quite crowded a lot, but the place is really neat and clean..tables and chairs are everywhere, good atmosphere to have cold drinks and beer...but if you're not into so much crowd then this place would'nt probably suit you...though it's packed the staff are very accommodating to find any seat or place you want :) Food -- their burgers are really awesome i got the upgraded fries for poutine and the sliders which was so deliiiiiiciousssss and tasty, the chicken burger was sooo good too, it was huge and delicious, the chicken wings in garlic i mean most of the chicken wings they have are so tasty, it's not all the time u get a good quality burger with awesome taste, finally the dessert options had been so delightful ate the cheesecake which was suppperb!so tasty with the caramel sauce, they also have 2$ taco tuesdays :) sadly i forgot to take photos of the burger though that i gobbled it up so fast cause it was so tasty Drinks -- wide selection of beers not much on cocktails but pretty much im sure they can whip you up anything Staff - they are so cool and very friendly, went there one time and since i loved their dessert so much went there again to have a quick drink and a dessert, didn't expect it though that our bartender/waiter who served us the other day quite remembered us..such a very nice friendly guy, very accommodating!i love their staff!will keep coming back ;) Enuf said...

So disappointed! In all the years going, being told not to sit at a table of 4 on a Thursday night at 22:55 because it's reserved for 3 and more, while there's a guy sleeping all alone with his walker at the table of four next to us - never will we go back.

It's not rude it's just dumb! We were 2 for drinks and food, so you lost at least a 100$ in sales.

It sucks to bring down my score of this place but what a dumb move.

When I worked in restaurant business, I never did that, especially when the place is half empty like it was. Furthermore, to consider, a person could have sensory issues like me and that table was my only option to feel comfortable! Hurray for inclusivity.

EDIT TO REPLY: We were asked how much we would be and were told not to sit there because it's for parties of 3 people or more. Nothing was said about the space being reserved, at all, and there was no indication of "reservation". That we would have understood! None your usual little signs no where.

Furthermore, the older man was sleeping at one of the supposedly reserved tables. He would have been moved if the reserved party had arrived?

It doesn't add up. If the staff would have said, sorry this space is reserved for a group or something, and we need to honour it, we would have understood. Again, it doesn't add up for we both worked in the restaurant industry for years - we would have moved with a smile.
