I have to change my 5 star review to a 1 star. I ate Olivia's chicken a lot in the last two years, before/during/after they renovated. I had some minor annoyances with the loyalty programs constantly changing but not enough to complain.
I usually order in person for take out. Today, for a larger party though I had a very bad experience that's left a bad taste. I placed a larger order for a party. ...delivery went okay, but the order not so much.
The salad ordered was substituted. Fine, would have preferred a chat to pick the substitution but whatever.
But the other items are larger: half the sauces missing poutine entirely missing half the onion rings orders missing worst, the boxes had half the chicken they usually do. I've ordered enough to notice this.
When calling, I was told it's not a big deal and partly blamed it on the fact it's ordered through Uber last minute. Fine, it was last minute that's how it worked out. But the tone of care seemed misplaced, and the tone changed a lot when they found out I had previously ordered in person every two or three weeks.
If you don't want to support Uber, don't offer it. But don't give me worse service on the occasion I can't come in person for pickup (rare).
My initial support request to Uber was denied, thus why I called. It took several calls to get through. I simply wanted my money back on the difference and informed them I'd have to do a charge back given Uber automatically denied the request unless they refunded the missing items.
I was told to write in, send pictures, what a waste.
The Uber support request changed to approving part of the refund after the call. Not sure if coincidence or not.
Either way, not thrilled. Mistakes happen but chalking it up to using Uber when it's a packaging error is insulting.

Read moreIf I could rate zero for the service i would. We arrived around 7:50pm on a saturday and we had to wait 5 min for someone to come and seat us! There were 2 girls doing i dont know what at the counter but not once did they look around the restaurant to see what was going on. We were then seated but we were not given menu. A groupe of 5 came in, they were seated and were given menu. This is ridiculous! Either there was a lack of staff or people didn’t care. I couldnt even raise my hand to ask for the menus because there were no one in the front. After a while, a girl came to us with the menus and had the audacity to ask if we needed those. Come on. Then it took forever to get our food. This is not my first time here, but i noticed the service is always slow and this time it was just worse because we just didn’t get any service. When our food arrived, we didn’t get any plates to eat on, we were only given utensils and napkins. My boyfriend joked that we would have to eat on napkins. Nonetheless, thats what we ended up doing. We couldn’t care less at this point. As you can see in the pictures, we really had napkins as our plates. The only positive thing is that the food was delicious. Food is five stars but i cannot recommend this restaurant. This would be better as a fast food counter if you dont want to serve people. Even then, you couldn’t because it was so long before we got our food (20-30min and there were just us and the group of 5 on a Saturday night). Are your employees paid by the hour? They certainly didn’t care to work for the tip. I will not come back here unfortunately, i always have a bad experience with the service when i come here.
