PFK — Restaurant in Montreal

FOOD: This new PFK location chicken is THE BEST we have had from any PFK/KFC in decades! Meat was fried perfectly, not dry at all, cooked through and with a light crispy skin perfection. The seasoning more like days of old — of course still greasy but not as saturated or dripping, far more tasty and crispy than what we have had from other locations.

SERVICE: [Monday early evening] Our order of a bucket and fries was made online for take-away; everything was ready and waiting upon arrival at the appointed time, making for efficient pick-up. Observed one young man on cash, one older gentleman in back. Both of whom were pleasant, polite, professional and friendly.

ATMOSPHERE: Do not be fooled into thinking they are closed. Entrance was gained through he Papineau doors, which is a bit confusing given the Mt Royal facing doors are clearly marked "Entrée" but were locked. Not entirely sure about the red celo film over the windows, as it gives the impression the place potentially closed. This does however make the interior feel more enclosed and private/less on display to the street, should you choose to eat in. (There was a family happily eating in while visiting.) Clean with modern amenities.

Restaurant business is notoriously difficult. Encourage others to order from here if looking for PFK/KFC and wishing this...

Came here for the nostalgia but left with a bad taste in my mouth. The young lady working at the cash is really hostile towards clients and is quick to argue about a simple order. I ordered a 3 piece combo and she was adamant I ordered 2 pcs instead. She could’ve just charged me for an extra piece and that’s it, but she was giving really nasty looks at me while complaining about my order… The 2 pieces I ended up getting were all batter no meat… robbed of my hard...

My friends and I visited PFK Chicken by chance. The crispy chicken and fries tasted amazing. It was my first time tasting real chicken. We enjoyed it very much, and the reception was great.
