Poulet Rouge — Restaurant in Montreal

First and foremost, i’d like to sincerely thank the employees (including the manager, Chris) for how accommodating, kind and understanding they were when I expressed that an ingredient that I had not ordered was accidentally added to my bowl.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I am very much aware of how demanding such a busy and fast-paced job this is- especially when you take delivery orders into account, on top of the over-the-counter/takeout orders. With this in mind, small mishaps can occur- as human error is something perfectly normal. Although, as a client, i do acknowledge that i could have paid better attention when my order was being made, as it was occurring right in front of me; I’ll definitely keep that in mind for next time, as i’ll be passing by some time again when i crave some Poulet Rouge after work.

Customer service: 11/10, truly. The situation was handled swiftly and in a professional manner, which is highly appreciated. Food: Fresh ingredients, flavourful as always Order time: About 5 minutes, very quick! (I ordered around 8:30pm the first time and approximately 9:45pm on the second)

(just thought i’d mention that i would typically keep my order regardless of its ingredients as i hate to be “that” difficult customer, but unfortunately i cannot stomach the scent nor taste of fresh onions, which is what was accidentally...

I have been to this establishment about 100 times. They only serve 4 different types of dishes/bowls but that's the good thing about it because they focus all their efforts into making those dishes as best as possible. It also implies the food is just about as fresh as possible. The downside is their food is a little pricy for me, but I still buy it anyway because it tastes great ($16)

I regularly order the Poutine + Garlic Chicken + NO avocado + Extra Gravy + Spicy Mayo (their specialty sauce, I would recommend this). They only drop the fries into the oil after the order comes in so it will be pretty hot. They serve 4 different chicken flavors, garlic being my favorite followed by BBQ. Lastly, you get to choose two toppings.

That being said, I've had ONE bad experience in about 100 visits around lunch time where the lines become long and they forgot to add gravy and/or just didn't add enough toppings which is why you should remember: don't be afraid to ask for a little extra sauce or more toppings if you feel it wasn't enough. Went to get a takeout after a long and tiring day. Been a patron of the place whether it’s take out or through Uber. But the way I was served on Friday really left a bad taste. The person who was preparing my toppings asked me the flavors I ordered because the order sticker on their side went missing on the bowl. I said the 2 flavors. The person reconfirmed, I said yes along with the name of the flavors. A misheard on my end too because I thought the person repeated both correctly. However, when the filets were placed, I called out the inconsistency that there was only 1 flavor with 3 filets which should be 2 flavors with 4 filets. The line cook reconfirmed with my receipt. But the person before started questioning me and looking like I was totally at fault, and exclaimed with “oh my god” in the end just to rub some more salt into the injury.
