Worst food but most importantly, worst customer service. My hot dog arrived frozen, comically smothered in WAY too much mustard while the Italian poutine I ordered had a sauce that tasted like metallic Chef Boyardee. It was absolutely awful. My friends' all enjoyed their food but agreed that my hot dog wasn't cooked and that there was definitely something wrong with the sauce on my poutine. I only took one bite of each dish and once I told the waitress my concerns, she barely reacted, did not apologize or seem surprised and simply took away my food with a smirk on her face. She asked if I wanted something else but I had lost my appetite by then and said no. When she came out with the bills, she made it clear that I was going to pay for my food which I hadn't eaten or barely even tasted! I refused and asked to speak to the manager, whom she told us was her father for some reason. He NEVER came to see our table and only glanced over at us a few times from the back as we waited. She returned after a twenty minute wait and offered to not charge me for the frozen hot dog but said I needed to pay for the poutine which I still refused to do. She claimed it was a matter of "taste" and that there was nothing wrong with the poutine's sauce but my friends chipped in to agree there was definitely something wrong with it. I was appalled at the service as she didn't apologize for the awful food but instead dropped attitude, arguing that I needed to pay. I refused, my friends all paid for their food and we left. I was called disrespectful because I had to argue that I wasn't going to pay for food that was inedible and could very easily had made me very sick. These employees need people skills and a better cook. If you don't know how to cook a simple hot dog, well, it's probably time to close up shop.

Came in on a Monday just before 12 and it was empty. The place has this divey (read: dirty) vibe to it that was a bit off-putting. Makes you wonder what added ingredients are going into your food. But ignorance is bliss, right? Between two people, we shared the Poutineville (crushed potatoes, fresh cheese curds, mozzarella, with braised beef and red wine sauce) and the smoked meat sandwich (melted swiss, Montreal smoked meat and house mustard aioli mayo). They have a lot of interesting poutine options, including a whole separate menu where they have ones based on different countries (i.e. feta cheese for Greece, mozzarella for Italy, etc.) Most of these seemed pretty gimmicky, which is why we decided to stick to the classic. I really liked the crushed potatoes. The edges were crispy and it was a nice change from regular fries. It was really heavy though. We were only able to finish half the poutine and half the sandwich. Not exactly a good meal to have right before a 6-hour drive back to NYC. It definitely knocked me out. If I ever find myself in Montreal again, I'd probably check out other poutine places. This was a bit too much for me.

Whoa the poutines are huge! I got the filet mignon poutine as a joke thinking it would be sad cuts of meat over the fries…boy was a I wrong. The meat was super soft and delicious with each bite. Not one piece was overly salty in any way and the meat perfectly complimented the onions and the fries as a whole. Loved it while eating it in the restaurant and then at home after reheating it in the oven. Love that they provide takeout containers in aluminum for quick and easy reheats in the oven. I’d recommend this location for those who want to try a Canadian poutine but may want to choose a specific type of poutine due to preferences. You can also do a build your own poutine from scratch!

Big issue where employees were yelling at me Friday night because I went to order food @ 1 am... Clearly it states you close @ 2 so I don't understand why the employees didn't like it. First issue: I stood infront for about 7 minutes until I waved down the waitress where she started yelling at me telling me "I've had it up to hear today". Firstly why is that my problem. Secondly if your working conditions are bad, don't yell at the people that are paying for your salary, talk to your manager.... Second issue: I came back in 10 minutes later to find the people inside fighting with employees because they were asking for them to leave.... The store was not closed yet. It was still 1:30 am. I dont understand how leaving the cleaning of one table greatly affects their closing procedures. These employees were just being *holes. What kind of staff kicks paying customers out before a store closes. How can you treat the people who secure your job like this? Third issue: Finally I had to come back again because she didn't think to include forks with the order?? When I came back I could hear her in the store screaming in anger and rage. She thought I can't hear her. She called me many slurs. I simply waited at the door until she came. Once she came I explained that she didn't provide forks ... Which is pretty standard if you're ordering a poutine....

Therefore service was a 1 star. Food was 2 stars. My poutine had black burnt fries in it. Employees don't understand that service is an important part of their job. Aswell I noticed, they're clearly miserable. 1) Management needs to provide better working conditions. Clearly they are understaffed. 2) However management also needs to give a training on how to treat customers. The waitress especially has some anger issues she needs...

Update may 9th 2022

I ordered a poutine through Ubereat. Waited forever. The driver sent me a message and told me the receptionist ignored him for a good 10 minutes. He served 3 other clients who came after him even if receptionist new my driver was first arrived. He even served another driver who showed up 10 minute after him. There was almost no one in the restaurant. Then the receptionist came by 10 minutes later to aknowledge my driver.. to then tell him he forgot to start my order.. he didnt told him how long it would take to cook my order either. My driver waited 15 minutes + and had to cancel my order due to having another client waiting for him from another restaurant ( whom were way faster to serve him as well ) My driver said he dont understand why the receptionist ignored him for 10 minutes as he saw him at the entrance from the start and even looked at him, served 3 people who came in after him... then completly forgot to even start my order above that. He also said the receptionist look very sleepy and unwelcoming. Like he was in a bad mood. A message to the owner. I think it would be great that you treat every order/client or driver as "important" as others. We, also spend money on your food therefore you should take our order as a priority and not ignore our order like that. Also, pls dont ignore ubereat drivers waiting for 10 minutes at your front entrance..espacially if your restaurant is almost empty. Also, pls dont pass other drivers before my order and pls accept an order as soon as you get my order. I'm not sure how hard it is to accept an order.. but my driver said you only have to press 1 button usually on your app... Bringing 5 stars down to 2 stars. Rating may go up, or down depending on how you treat my next...
