Ordered : Pizza montanara con burrata, O'cuppetiell
-O'cuppetiell (frittata di pasta, arancini, and crocche) What better way to experience the traditional food from the Italian region of Campania than the o'cupperiell mix appetizer. The frittata di pasta will take back anyone of Italian heritage to a childhood filled with anticipation for the holidays and food prepared by their Nonna. The crocche which is mashed potato and egg covered in bread crumbs and fried served on the side with a spicy mayonnaise adds the right amount of delicious modernity to this highly recommended dish.
-Montanara con burrata Fried dough formed in to the traditional neopolitan style pizza; topped with olive oil, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes, and keste's quintessential ingredient: burrata cheese. To the readers unfamiliar with this cheese, it's simply fresh cheese with a soft outer shell filled with a softer, creamier inside; they knew what they were doing when they decided to put their own spin on this traditional fried pizza. Delicious, and savory from beginning to end, this dish needs to be enjoyed with fine company as good glass of wine as good Mediterranean food was intended to. We would not only recommended this dish to the pizza connoisseurs out there but to individuals who live to discover the hidden jewels of ...
Read moreWe went there for my Mom in law's 80th bday. First gaffe,we told them to make a cake for her and they said no problem, come time they are bringing a piece of tia misura with a candle,to add to the gaffe instead of putting a birthday song ( even the Beatles Birthday would've done) they put a 50 cent rap song for an Italian 80 year old and to think its an Italian resto they should know.Food the Pizza dough had a good taste but the tomato topping was too raw and liquidy, it made the mozzarella shrink ,the sausage was good but again it was overwhelmed by the tomato sauce. The entrees tasted good Salad, and Calamari but being 10 people it wasn't enough and 2 plates of each were ordered usually they have nice plates in an Italian resto because they understand the culture. And one of the guests ordered cavatelli pasta ,they came with a nice deep bowl which was only filled to 1/4 .And they didn't put a tableclothe and napkins looked like we all had to satisfy ourselves with one each the whole stay. The people were nice but not a 5 star place, prices a little high too for what we ordered. I would give it lower but the workers made me not do it them being...
Read moreStumbled upon this place before a concert and decided to try it out. First of all, my review had nothing to do with how things tasted. The food was delicious. However, my friend and decided to each order a garden salad and share a pizza. The house salad is $14, so we thought a nice big salad and half a pizza would be a great dinner. The salad was pathetic. Literally a small handful of mixed greens, a couple slices of tomato and cucumber. It was insulting to pay $14 for that. Actually, $28 because we got one each. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he agreed but didn't really do anything about it. I also was a bit underwhelmed by the service. Once we were done out meal, and our drinks. We sat waiting for about 15 min with no in checking on us, asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. I finally had to flag down our waiter and ask for our bills. I would say overall, it was an ok experience. I will probably never go back. I can get pizza just as good other places that don't rip you off...
