Rôtisseries Benny & Au Coq — Restaurant in Montreal

I HAD HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with them many times.

As its open until 10pm, and there are not many options in Verdun offering delivery, I order from there. I LOVE rotisserie chicken, and I have eaten at other Benny/ Au Coq before… this place get the orders wrong (even though I order online and everything should be pretty easy to read)

Tonight, I ordered a club sandwich for dinner and a Wrap with a cesar salad for tomorrow’s lunch, and some sausage appetizers. The price was 60$

Then the delivery person came, and all seemed fine.

When I opened my order, THERE WAS NO cesar salad (which I paid extra for!). I called the store right away, and the girl on the phone did not apologize, only said “we cannot deliver it to you but i’ll refund the extra for the salad”

Like really? Thats the bear minimum you can do. Then I looked further at my order just to realise they also DID NOT give me the cesar dressing for the wrap… (which the online site has you CHOOSE when ordering the wrap) AND NO HONEY MUSTARD for the sausage appetizer, which also is supposed to come with it.

So basically, they just dont care about reading orders even tho the website is very specific and you gotta chose options when ordering, and then when you notify them, they dont even seem to care.

Oh, my other 2 bad experiences were that they forgot the cheese on a poutine once… and never delivered my order another time (which once again I had to call the manager on a specific day in order to get a refund for an order they knew never got sent, because the system / employee are not allowed to do so)

Its a shit show. I really wish they figured it out and dis better for...

This is essentially a delivery and take-out business with a storefront. Don't go here for a meal—make a delivery order instead.

The confused nature of this location (is it for take-out/delivery or for dine-in customers?) made for a slow and very unpleasant dining experience.

So so so bad. So. Bad. Slow service from both the cashiers and kitchen; only 4 (maybe 6?) seats in the restaurant, and 2 picnic benches on the terrasse. Not they place for a comfortable family meal as we had hoped.

The two (disinterested) cashiers were answering calls for delivery, handling pick-ups for take-out orders, and taking dine-in orders. This bizarre set-up caused me to wait over 10 minutes just to place my order.

I ordered 3 meals: 2 chicken burgers with fries, and 1 kid's quarter-chicken meal. It took over 20 minutes to receive my food, and when I asked why, the cashiers said it was because "the burgers take longer to cook". Really?! Because chicken burgers shouldn't take 20 minutes in a fryer...

The food was adequate, although I prefer the flavour of St-Hubert Chicken sauce. Frustratingly, the "combo" doesn't include a beverage (just a main and fries).

I won't be visiting this location again,...

If I could give 0 star I would. Ordered online May 8, 2023 3:23pm. Order arrived and was missing an item. I called the store and spoke with the woman who answered and explained what was missing. She said she would write it on the bill and there would be a credit for the next time. I asked her what bill as everything was done online, she didn't explain that she tracked the bill by the phone number. I asked her to confirm the details and she answered "Oh my God" and provided the details, didn't allow me to speak again and hung up on me. I called back, she never answered from my original number. I called from another number, she answered and I asked to speak with the manager, she was so rude and asking me for what. I said to speak to the manager, she kept saying for what. I told her to speak about the bad service. She said that he was in the kitchen and I would have to call back after 7pm and hung up on me again.

I understand it is a busy day, it does not give anyone the right to speak so condescending to a customer. If you can't handle the job, maybe look for...
