Radikal Dezzertz — Restaurant in Montreal

Extremely disappointed with customer service. My complaint was brushed off as unimportant. A very long story short, I surprised my elderly parents with a 1L Ricotta-Pistachio ice cream from Radikal which I ordered through Uber Eats (cost $30 !!! this included a small Uber fee). Their joy quickly turned to repulsion as they scooped a little deeper into the container. Please see picture. I called the ice cream shop for an explanation. After a couple of unreturned calls, I finally spoke with the kind young lady (will not post her name) who claimed to be the day manager. I explained the situation and sent a picture. I waited for feedback. I followed up after a week (by text) only to be told there was nothing that could be done, that the ice cream was supposed to look like this. Huh? 🤢 I repeated that I had paid a small fortune for 1L of dessert and all I was asking is for a replacement product as it did not look edible (I had no issues returning the one in our possession). It’s important for me to support small local businesses and have been coming to get our ice-cream with my family for years! Admitting, I noticed though from even pre-covid , this place was getting dirtier and dirtier. It’s been sometime since I’ve come and just recently popped in for an Oreo blizzard (small) the other evening. Once again, I noticed the establishment was just as dirty as always. I told myself this would be the last time I come here. To make it worse, I was charged $8,63 for a small Oreo blizzard. I was a little stunned, but paid for it and left without questioning my server. Here I am really asking myself have prices really skyrocketed that much? Between the lack of overall cleanliness, not to mention the subpar service and now almost $10 !!! for an ice cream is just excessive. I get price hikes, but this is ridiculous. I’m questioning if I was taken for an idiot and was over charged? Whatever it is, it doesn’t change that I will choose another place for our ice...

I recently ordered a dessert crepe + churros from this place, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in a long time. When I opened the package, I was immediately shocked at how messy and unpresentable it was. The crepe was falling apart, poorly assembled, and looked nothing like what you’d expect from a dessert item let alone one you’d pay for.

Not only was the presentation a disaster, but the taste and texture were just as bad completely inedible. It was soggy, overfilled, and clearly not made with care or quality in mind. I genuinely couldn’t take more than a bite before deciding to throw it straight in the garbage. A total waste of money. It was also missing some items in my order.
