I had a very frustrating experience at Boustan last night. I had just come out of the hospital looking for some comfort food for take-out, but what I got instead was the worst meal I've had at a Boustan ever.
I simply ordered a chicken shawarma plate. The plate was mostly rice. No kidding, there was barely any chicken or potatoes. And the chicken pieces were exclusively the overroasted small chunks. It's normal to get these when eating shawarma, but that's literally all there was. The potatoes were good as usual, but I got very few of them. The salad, however, was the best part of the meal.
The worst has yet to come though. Since I had so much toum and hummus left since I had so little chicken and potatoes, I decided to scoop it up with the pita that came with the plate. When I took a bite off my pita, I bit the plastic fork the staff had tucked into the pita and folded in two. I'm sorry but this was the last straw for me. It's hygienically dubious at best to do that. While I was certainly unlucky and ate the bread in a somewhat unusual way, it'd be a huge stretch for me to expect plastic in my pita.
I give the experience two stars because, to be fair, the food itself still tastes good. But the experience I got this time at Boustan CdN is sufficiently bad for me to never consider...
Read moreOne of the worst services we have encountered. Our delivery came on time, and I left them 20% tip (thankfully on the credit card which receipt I kept). However, when we opened the order it was completely messed up. Not only they had not followed the instructions, but they brought different type of meat. When we called in they treated us as if we did not know what food we had in front of us. Since they did not believe us I told them that we had not eaten the food and they could come and take it back, but they said that they would only do this after midnight (4 hrs later) as they were too busy. My wife ended up taking the food back and they were refusing to refund the delivery tip for which we had the credit card receipt. After a long wait and discussion of they finally refunded the entire amount. It is sad to give a bad review but good customer service is very important in the restaurant business. This review could have easily been a 5 star one (we like Boustan food) if they had taken the steps to properly address...

We recently ordered catering from Boustan for our work event at the Jewish General Hospital with a team of 30 people, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and arrived perfectly on time. Everyone raved about the variety and quality of the dishes.
