I hate leaving bad reviews, but this croissant was an extreme let down. It was soggy, flat, and borderline greasy. Visually it didnât look that good and should have followed my instincts to pass on it, but I had already made the walk. The staff seem nice enough, but my food was flat out bad.
EDIT: The owner reached out apologizing for the poor experience, but also reminded me that real croissants are made with lots of real butter. Iâve had enough croissants to know this basic fact. I also know a real croissant is well laminated to expand into a light, buttery, flakey layered pastry. I did not receive something to this description. I received a croissant that was flat, with a soggy and over buttered consistency. Iâve added an extra star for the effort of responding to my critique, but stand by that the quality was poor. I wish this patisserie all the best and hope they...
Read moreI finally got the chance to stop by and I do not have any regrets! I wasnât sure if they would have a cheesecake already made on short noticed, but I decided to give it a try- to my luck there was one available! The staff here are lovely, there was a good selection of cakes pre-made, a variety of little desserts, fresh bread, and espressođ! While I waited I thought to myself I need to stop by again when I have more time to sit down and enjoy myself! On this visit I purchased a latte and the cake.
The cake was a hit across the board with my family; the cheesecake was smooth, rich, and creamy-...
Read moreThis is my second time coming here. Thanks to the fĂȘtes des croissants, I found out about this place. I feel like I could be in Paris. You can see the owners at work. Itâs a small but lovely shop. 2 tables inside and 2 tables outside. The first time I had their almond croissant, crispy/flaky on the outside and just enough sweetness. Now Iâm enjoying their chocolatine. It tastes like a chocolate chip cookie and a croissant together! A cookiesant? đ. One more thing to add, this place faces across a beautiful church - Notre Dame du PerpĂ©tuel Secours and the street is relatively quiet. Ideal place to read or catch up with a friend. Taking one star off as I just found out that there is no bathroom for...
