I recently visited this café with my girlfriends to study, but our experience left us extremely disappointed. The manager's policy of charging for seating is simply outrageous. It's disheartening that in a place meant for study and relaxation, we were treated as though we were a burden. What's even more concerning is the apparent inconsistency in enforcing this policy. While we were asked to pay, an older woman was allowed to use the space freely. This discriminatory treatment is unacceptable and completely unjustified. And me and My girlfriend came to an agreement we will pay so we decided to get a water bottle which cost us 3$ and he said no he wanted us to get something more expensive you see how it look? Money hungry lmao. In addition, I decided to investigate further and witnessed young students, some as young as 14-16, being subjected to the same unjust demand before they could even sit down. This policy shows a complete lack of consideration for students who are just seeking a quiet place to study, especially when weather conditions are unfavorable. I hope the management reevaluates their policies to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers. Until then, I cannot recommend this café to anyone seeking a stress-free study environment. Psa...
Read moreI love Second Cup but please avoid the Cote des Neiges location solely based on the manager/owner.
I entered the second cup to study and the manager immediately kicked me out because I already had a beverage in my hand. I repeatedly asked him if I could buy another drink or food in order to study in here but for some reason he just kept dodging my questions and prohibited me from entering. I don't know if he was expecting me to throw out my drink but I did not want to waste it. He could have also just asked me to put it away instead of kicking me out
This owner is extremely rude. I am a regular at this Second Cup, and he is constantly getting mad at customers. He got upset at an old lady for misreading the menu and ordering the wrong drink. He was forcing her to pay for the drink, even though she didn't want it. What ever happened to the customer is always right?
I am just disappointed to be on the receiving end of the manager's rudeness. Especially since I regularly study there, I almost always by a drink or food, and leave this guy a...
Read moreI love it! It is one of my favorite, if not the favorite, spot(s)! I just love being there, but I can’t explain why. I’ve been there several times with some of my friends. My high school friend and I even used to study there when we hopelessly needed to do well on an exam and we always ended up doing well! It’s such a lucky place for me with so many good memories. The things they serve taste great too. I am usually not a big fan of eggs, but their egg and cheese sandwich is amazing and always makes me want to come back for more! Beware though: if you don’t pay, you don’t stay. In other words, unless you plan to buy something, don’t go in because they’re not afraid to kick you out. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot. They have a points card and application. Buy, gain points and earn rewards! Every one dollar gives you 10 points and every 500 points give you a reward. Unfortunately, I haven’t reached my first reward yet because I found out about the app too late. I do hope it’s good though. Note: I do wish there is wifi in the back area with the...
