The coffee was pretty decent and a good portion but the food was just okay. Our recomendation for this place was for the coffee so we probably shouldnt have gotten food anyway but if you are just going for coffee its a good spot. The breakfast sandwhich we got seemed fresh but bland. It definitly needed hot sauce or something but that would have made it pretty decent. The coffee itslef was larger than I was expecting and seemed pretty creamy and rich. A decent spot if your in the area for a drink.

Expert's in coffee, they lack flavor sometimes on pastries. Brunch is delicious except 35$-to 40& for 2 people. They have a wide variety of types of drinks and the service is very sociable and kind one of the most remarkable groups of workers. For just coffee or drinks the cost about 4.5/person on average. Expect a French welcoming but they also are welcoming to others, unlike most québécois companies. The work stations are clean with a nice odder of different coffees.

Where: Brulerie Urbaine - Cote-des-Neiges What: A coffee, breakfast and desert place How was it: We went for breakfast, trying to avoid a franchise chain. That we did, this place was refreshing and different. We actually went twice in the same day, because my wife saw the deserts and invited some friends to join us. Great coffee selection too. In the end, everyone enjoyed themselves. Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 4 Recommend: Yes, it's a solid beer tour experience.

Looks nice from the outside. Pretty casual once you walk in. The staff don't exactly greet you or acknowledge your presence right away. The person at the cash didn't bother saying hello to us upon entry. They were too preoccupied settling bills. I walked all the way to the back to ask a lady if I were to seat myself. Our waiter pressed us to order and wasn't very helpful when I asked for suggestions. He also miscommunicated with us which led us to order a dish we did not want. When I wanted to inquire about the dish that did not meet our expectation, because our waiter was busy, I waived at an employee behind the cash area. She was doing nothing. She saw me and stood there and head gestured me I supposed to ask whag I needed. But I wasn't going to yell. She never came and stood there and what chatting it up with her collegue. Custmer service there really sucks. They're only really nice and smiley when you're getting ready to pay your bill. The highlight of this visit, my breakfast poutine was amazing but a little on the salty side. My soup of the day, cream of spinach, was terrible. It was litterally boiled spinach in water with a hint of cream(or maybe even milk)and the awful consistency of water. It was not at all creamy. The coffee was fine. Price value is so so. You don't get a Bam! for your buck. I might try this place again to give it a...

I've been there twice.

The first time was to buy coffee beans. The coffee beans were very expensive and very not good. The coffee had a strange burnt taste to it. On top of that, I asked for them to be ground up for a french press, and they ground it up too finely.

I went back to see if it was just a bad experience (that specific coffee type plus the wrong grind size). The cup of coffee was just as bad. It still had the same burnt taste even though it was a different coffee bean. And since we had sat down, we also got dessert, and that was mediocre at best (mediocre teetering on bad). Essentially, this place is only good if you're a student looking to use the wifi. I definitely would not go for the dessert or coffee. I'm assuming the overpricing is simply to accomodate the free wifi.

In summary, overpriced and disappointing if you are just looking for good coffee/food. Not bad for students just wanting a place to sit for...

Clearly something wrong here. We were watching our food in the kitchen sitting there for over 10 mins before someone realized it’s there. They bring the food and don’t give us utensils, even after we asked them to bring it to us they fail to remember and continue doing other things. Food arrived before Coffee. And when food arrived my entire bread was soaking wet due to a very old tomato they used and of course with the time it took the bread was too wet to eat. I asked for reimbursement and they were giving me a hard time. Be aware as they make you pay before you get the food and ask for you to tip before you get the food / service. It should be the other way around. I got my reimbursement thankfully so we appreciate that. The place is cute and has potential, I think the staff/ kitchen should be more effective in their service and use fresher ingredients. Prices aren’t...
