Looked online for a portuguese chicken place for my girlfriend and I. The menu didn't open on Google from the restaurant, simply failed. So I browsed the photos and found someone had posted the menu. Chose the family meal which was a whole chicken kebabs and two sides. The price was $49.99, seemed fine.
I called for a pick-up order and walked my way to the restaurant. When I got there the staff was friendly and I proceed to pay. She claimed the cost was just over $70 with taxes. I then point at a menu on the counter showing the price of $49.99... the young woman at the cash register informs me that the prices have changed (approx 20% increase.. lol).
$70 for a bird and two kebabs, I mean common man! Prices were different online and on the menus... I never would of accepted but since the food was ready I didn't want it to be wasted or be overly rude. I reluctantly pay and bring the food home. Salad was lame, rice was OK, chicken was dryer than a $70 chicken. Kebabs were pretty good.
All in all, pretty bad experience. Can't believe the rating they got after...

So here goes .
We went there on a Saturday night at around 8:00 , before going to see a movie at the theatre next door.
First issue , customer service, or let's say how lacking it is .
I understand you want to diversify your menu but when I asked the lady behind the counter what's in the vegetarian plate she said "I don't know". We're here to eat at your place you may not get a lot of requests for vegetarian options in a chicken place but it's.on your menu. I ordered the Greek salad , and my friend ordered I believe the chicken plate with potato wedges.
Second issue. The food .
My Greek salad came in a small plate Wich is fine. But I was literally taking the entire plate and stacked on top. You can not eat this salad with out it spilling all over the table .
My friends plate was unappetizing , the chicken was cold and the potato wedges were stale .
We didn't enjoy our meals and your hospitality was lacking....
Read moreWe came here because it was on the way to the apartment where we were staying in Downtown. The ratings were great so I thought why not. Obviously I should have been a bit alarmed by the low number of ratings. Canadians aren't up to reviewing much, obviously.
The place is nice and big enough. There was no line and there were only three more couples beside us. Order was super fast (one star), they speak English, but the menu is in French, only the server has one in English (at least that was what happened in our case).
I ordered a Double Kebab without a side and my husband ordered a Caesar Salad ($5). Funny enough that one came with a side of fries. Weird. The portions were too small for the price in my opinion. The Kebab especially. It's $8 and you get about 8 pieces of meat with nothing else, unless you pay another $3 for a side dish (rice, fries,...).
The food was tasty though (second star), no complaints there, but we won't be returning,...
