Really wishing I had come to the comments before coming here. Came shortly after noon on a Wednesday. I assumed since it was a pretty spacious joint Thai Express shop that is near a university campus that it would be quick. There was no premade sushi so no way to grab something quick and get back to class or in my rehearsal ( which I only had a 30 min break for). The employees didn't seem rude but very uninterested in providing a prompt service. There were only two employees for two separate restaurant counters and any time a new client came in the employee would take the new order before finishing what they were working on. I would say this is definitely a staffing / training issue. Asking the employee who was making my order for a time estimate she said "soon ... It was really busy today. Everytime I finished an order another one comes in" I would argue that's pretty normal but she could have been alluding to the fact that prep had not been done. If I had any recommendation for management it would be to make sure you have enough employees to station one on cash / prep and one per food counter. Considering the considerable amount of poor reviews it might be an idea to throw a day with discounted premade sushi takeaways and advertise it to get more traffic in and justify the extra prep to make sure that there is always a grab and go option for clients who are in a rush. No complaints on the food. It was fresh and tasted good. Note that I photographed it at work and not in the to go container it came in

Disclaimer: This review does not apply for other Sushi Shop restaurants. We ordered 6 rolls and 1 popcorn shrimp on a Sunday night (around 8 PM), there were only 1 or 2 guys ordering before us and around 3 tables with people eating in. After waiting for 1 hour, and after seeing an argument between staff, and between another costumer and the woman I suppose was the manager about a delay, we got our order. Sort of. The popcorn shrimp was missing so we asked for it which took 10 more minutes. We left. After arriving to the hotel, we found what you can see in the pictures: the Phoenix Blossom did not look anything like in the pictures which would be OK if it had the popcorn shrimp on top instead a plain shrimp, which as you can see, it didn't. Also, wasabi and ginger on top of the soy sauce container? I don't think so. To top it off, we were missing one of the two Vancouver rolls we ordered (and charged for). As we are leaving Montreal tomorrow morning, we were not going there again to get the remaining part of our order. As I said before, this doesn't apply to other Sushi Shop restaurants, I got sushi from some Sushi Shop locations in Toronto several times and it was perfect.

The restaurant was not clean. We ordered the easiest thing to do : avocado sushi, and 3 of them had no avocados. The avocados we had were brown, these are the worst sushis I have ever seen. The sushis are falling apart, it really feels like they gave us the worst ingredients and they put no effort. The guy who made the sushi had a huge bandage on his hand. It was really not hygienic. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I payed too much for what they gave us. This is Sushi Shop 3550 Av Park, Montreal. The sushis in the photos were not touched. The browns parts are avocados. Please see for yourself :

I ordered through Uber Eats and, honestly, this was the most terrible food and service I’ve ever received. A third of the sushi in each box was ruined because the soy sauce container was placed on top of the sushi and crushed down on closing the container - completely flattening the maki. Wasabi was disgustingly smeared on top of those soy sauce containers, looking like a dog’s breakfast. The extra soy sauce containers and spicy mayo containers had broken open, flooding the paper bad with guck so that on delivery it was soaking wet and ripped open, leaking all over me. They also failed to include chop sticks or any other cutlery. Absolutely the worst and most disappointing sushi I have ever ordered in. For the $100 cost, that was absolutely highway robbery. I filed my complaint with Uber Eats, as well. No action from...
