Uniburger — Restaurant in Montreal

Had a very unfortunate evening at uni burger today March 24 at 8pm.

Stopped by Uni burger ahead of going to the movies with my wife. We entered the quaint shop to find a few other patrons waiting for their order. We promptly placed our order and sat to wait. Within minutes, our order was ready as the guy at the cash called my number. Picked up my food, sat down to eat only to realize the burgers did not correspond to what we ordered.

I returned the order to the cash to realize we had someone else's order. My wife and I are certain they yelled our number and that there was a mistake in the order (as opposed to me picking up someone else's order). Nonetheless, we had to sit there while the staff trash talked us, accusing us of being dumb and not listening to the order number. It was rude and insulting, and embarrassing vs the other patrons.

Even if we had made a mistake, there is no reason to treat your patrons that way.

Also the food is lacklustre at best, and somehow in a Saturday night at 8 they ran out of milk and tomatoes.... all they make is burgers and milkshakes. How hard can it be to keep the...

Terrible service that probably made me underappreciate the food more than I normally would.

I order a combo to which I asked if I can change the drink to a milkshake and that I would pay the difference. The girl says no and that I would have to order each item (burger, fries, milkshake) separately. Fine, I do that.

I pay for me and my wife’s order only to realize when I got the receipt that they still charged me for the combo with the original drink even though I didn’t order it. So be it, I let it slide.

When my order is ready, I noticed that they put it on a tray when I had asked the order to go. Again, I let it slide.

That’s 3 strikes I let slide without a single “sorry” or anything from the workers. The whole time the girl had this sour look.

Burger could have used a little more seasoning but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could have if not for the poor service.

THIS IS AN UNSANITARY BURGER JOINT Never again. The young guy that took my order gave the wrong amount of change, $5 short than what he owed me. I thought that would be it but no... I was pretty happy that you can see how your food is made behind the counter but when I saw I almost puked. That day I went they said that there were no fries being severed guess they just didn't have any? Anyways i was alright with that until I see girl in the back scooping with the spatula in what I imagine is OLD French fry oil grease from the fryer and starts putting it all over my burger patties by the time it was served the whole bottom bun was soggy with taste of old fry grease. Also some gloves while putting on ingredients would be nice, if they cant even do their job right I'm sure they cant wash their hands right neither. THIS PLACE...
