Last week, I visited the Humpty’s location in Moose Jaw around 7:05 AM. Once again, I encountered the same issue as during my previous visit in the summer: no one was present at the front to assist customers. The kitchen staff member informed me, as they did last time, that there was no front staff available.
I have already raised this issue with Humpty’s head office, questioning how a franchise is being operated like this, where basic customer service is repeatedly neglected. It’s disappointing that such an issue persists.
My wife has friends who work at Humpty’s parent company, and I am seriously considering escalating this matter. If the same thing happens during my next visit, I will document the experience with photos and videos and post it publicly on Twitter and LinkedIn, tagging senior management.
A franchise should be run by someone who can effectively manage the staff and provide the level of service customers deserve. I will be passing through Moose Jaw again next month on my way to Calgary, and I hope this issue will not repeat itself. I ordered a spinach salad. About 15 minutes later the server came out to tell me there was no boiled eggs. So I said ok - I can order something else. At which point she said No! The cook has it half made but forgot to check if there was boiled eggs. So I could have extra bacon, chicken, mushrooms (but could not order anything else) . They Substituted hard boiled eggs for over easy fried eggs. Not what I ordered... The salad came out dry on a too small plate. At which point she asked me if I wanted dressing. The salad was supposed to come with dressing so I asked didn't it come with dressing oh yes but some people like this. But I'm guessing they didn't have the dressing either because I was given honey mustard chicken finger dip. Spinach was all over the table because the plate was too small for the salad. Read moreThe purple hair server has very poor customer service skills! She was not at all friendly, borderline rude & never smiled, not even once. Her only facial expression would be described by most people as "b**ch face" This obviously isn't the first time we've had this server... Had 2 issues with the food on Jan. 26, 2020 No apology but only a poorly worded, unfriendly statement to explain the problems. Note to management: we ordered pan scramblers and we received the food only to realize that the fried diced hash browns had been substituted with (not cooked enough) soggy deep fried fritters. It was NOT good!!! If you switch out an ingredient in a menu item, the customer should be notified of this at the time of ordering so that we'd have a chance to change our order... This review only reflects this one particular visit. The food is usually very good in the majority of the past times visited with very few issues.
