Chico's Fried Chicken N Pizza — Restaurant in Nanaimo

If you've ever lived on the East Coast or had authentic Lebanese donairs, the chances of being disappointed are extremely high. These processed strips of premade donair meat remind me of the later recipe that Greco used in Halifax. If you're hoping to get donair sauce, you'll also be extremely disappointed. This was more like a sweet paste that tasted like chalk. If King of donair, pizzaland and Robert's served their worst donair on the same day, it might rate a 7 out of 10. Comparably, this would barely make it to 1/10. If you were like me, you were missing a bit of home and were hoping for something to resemble what we're used to. if I had read a review like this I might have been skeptical and still ordered it just for fun, but it really isn't worth the chance. To be constructive, one way you could make this better is by chopping up the donair and completely replacing the sauce recipe. There are a few YouTube videos on how to make authentic donair sauce with condensed milk and sugar which is incredibly easy to make; please take a look at that and you might get some repeat business. I phoned in an order for delivery I gave my phone number and address and told them to call me once they arrive as our buzzer currently doesn’t work and was told the wait would be 45 minutes tops.

After a bit over 2 hours I called back to check in on the order and see what happened. I was told the delivery driver knocked on the door and tried calling me but got no answer. I responded that I didn’t live in a house for knocking to be even useful or a thing really nor did I ever receive a phone call. After asking the girl to check the paper and find out they wrote my number down wrong they seemed hesitant about accepting their mistake and still bringing us our food.

The girl proceeded to tell me I could come pick it up which I then told her I ordered for delievery because I have no means of transportation and it’s what I called for... She told me once the driver was back she would ask him about making another trip since apparently it was up to him, I was also told they’d call me back to update me on the information.

It has now been over 5 hours and they never brought our food or even called back to explain anything for that matter. Terrible...
