Having enjoyed MOD Pizza during a trip to Colorado earlier this year, we were thrilled to discover a location in Nanaimo and couldn't resist stopping in for an early supper on a Friday afternoon. The experience, however, was a bit different from what we had come to expect. While the Colorado location had impressed us with its bustling atmosphere and attentive service, the Nanaimo branch felt quieter, with only 2 to 3 staff members handling both orders and food preparation.

Though the service was polite, it lacked the same level of energy and attentiveness that made our Colorado visit memorable. Despite this, the food did not disappoint. We both chose pizza with a side salad, and both were excellent—consistent with MOD Pizza’s reputation for delivering high-quality, delicious meals quickly.

Overall, while the service in Nanaimo didn’t quite match the exceptional experience we had in Colorado, the food quality remains top-notch. I have loved MOD pizza ever since trying it in Seattle, and I'm so grateful it's in Canada too! My boyfriend and I visited MOD in the Country Club Plaza from the greater Vancouver area. We were there on work business and we visited three different times. The food is to die for, as they let you put as many options as you'd like in their pizza model, and the atmosphere is friendly and playful. I want to take a moment to thank Andrew the manager for incredible service! He went above and beyond when we lost our phone outside the store and were already on the ferry.
