They serve wonderful Indian food! We got the gobi garlic (cauliflower tossed in a garlicky sauce) and chilly chicken for appetizers, aloo palak (spinach potato curry) with a side of naan and the veg biryani! Everything was super tasty and the vibe in here is also nice. They have Bollywood music playing in the background and the service is great! The food takes a bit to get to your table after you order, but if you are with friends or family it's nice to just sit and chat. There is parking right outside the restaurant so that's convenient. This place is easy on the pocket, definitely not as overpriced as some of their counterparts and the portions are big! If you are an Indian looking for a taste close to home, Masala Culture is the place to go!

A relatively new place in the Old City Quarter. Takeout and dine-in. We are hosting a small gathering for a dinner party later in the week so decided to try this establishment before we committed to serving it at our party. The proprietress was very friendly and helpful in recommending the dishes, the quantity, the heat…etc. And the food was amazing! We placed our order for later this week. It’s a small dining area but very clean and comfortable looking. I predict that this restaurant will become very popular!

Tonight was the first time we tried The Masala Culture. All I can think is, why has it taken me so long. The food was so good. Spices that left me thinking wow, I love this. I ordered butter chicken and chicken karahi and 2 orders of the garlic Naan. The portions are great. I divided them between the two of us. My husband had second and there is still some for tomorrow. I also wanted to point out aside from the amazing food, the bag had this cute message. I definitely recommend.

Ordered from here seeing they are run by the same people as curry culutre, but it's not quite the same. Disclaimers: I've only ordered here once, your experience may vary from mine. The food is still very good, but I'm still going to nitpick about it because i'm a insufferable human being.

Key things I noted that were different from curry culture:

Naan Bread - more doughy? It's not cooked as hot, and appears to have less gluten development. It's more soft and not as chewy. Butter Lamb - a bit more acidic, however that can easily come down to just the specific tomato they used, produce is highly variable. It's really not enough to matter. Goat Briyani - This one I have some gripes with, once again im not sure if it's just this one specific order or what.

Bones, yes I know it's bone in, but compared to it's parent store there is a LOT more bones, around double. (by size)

Rice is softer and wetter, i'm not sure if there was too much liquid, or it was overcooked, or both. The flavor feels a little bit duller due to this. It's really not that bad, and was still enjoyable.

No caramelized onions, it's the little things like this that make biryani really enjoyable for me.

Overall it's still great. Both places serve amazing...

Ordered take-out - the food was………

INCREDIBLE!!! We had Chicken Korma, Chicken Jalfrezi, Cilantro-Onion Naan, and Basmati. Every aspect of the meal was top level: the chicken was all breast meat, lovely and tender, the sauces were amazingly seasoned with just the right amount of heat, the naan was excellent, even the basmati was moist and flavourful - not dry and tasteless like you see at some restaurants😞.

We also received a Mango Dessert, and it was divine.

🥳Staff was super friendly, and happy faces were drawn on our bags, wishing us a good meal.

We certainly did have a good meal and will take-out again soon and try some more of their dishes😋! YUM-THUMBS UP!!!!

Thank you, Chef & Staff!...
