First time here and this place a little of everything. From decadent desserts to Burgers and bagels. They have pizza are smoothies in a nice coffee bar. My friend that lives in Nelson took me here for lunch and I chose the pickle pizza and if you've never had it this is the best pickle pizza I've ever had in my life period she goes to vegetarian burger.

Customer delight is so rare and the woman who runs this place joyfully celebrates this with every greeting, offering, and connection point. When was the last time a retailer asked you “Can I make you breakfast?” Incredible experience and yummy treats! I highly recommend going early in the morning for freshly made croissants and donuts!

Good coffee and pastries. They also have some hot food and pizza by the slice. The cream filled Long John and chocolate croissant were yummy. Stop in here on your walk down historic Baker St. in Nelson BC

I was really excited about this place and had heard good things, but I was more than disappointed. I asked the lady if they made iced lattes, and if they had any flavors available (which i thought was pretty straightforward) she said the only flavor they had was a special blueberry latte, and I said I would try it. Its visually very beautiful but its a very off-putting taste and texture (slightly chalky?) So I apologized and was going to leave it behind and leave, and another lady offered to make me another one. I told her that I wanted a flavored iced latte, and she told me that this blueberry thing wasn't a true latte. There was no coffee in it. I explained what I had asked for and she said they have a vanilla iced latte. (Yay! Perfect) so I waited and they made me another drink. Unfortunately, the latte was also not great. No vanilla, no sweetness at all. At this point I had been there for about 15 minutes so I just put it on the counter and left. I would have gone back and gotten some of their baked goods because those looked incredible, but the whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth (literally!) I wouldn't be back for a $6 beverage, that...

👎 I guess I took to long deciding, so the server had to to be rude, eye roll and hurry up get out attitude. I felt rushed and unwanted. I am first time customer, and I showed up around mid afternoon, I had a craving for something sweet. There was a lot of gluten free baked goods left, I see those are popular, not. The item I wanted was the only one left, I would of bought a dz if they had them. The server had to say that everything goes fast in the morning so that's all that's left, and I recieved a side of attitude with that, but yet there was lots of gluten free, huh. Maybe they should make less gluten free and more of the good stuff that goes fast. I guess bakeries only bake once a day now, when I used to go to bakeries in the big city when I was younger they always had stock of everything all day long, always lots of fresh yummy choices. A bakery might as well close for the afternoon if they have no baked goods in a bakery. I don't get it. How do they stay afloat by loosing money and customers? I would love to find a really good Bakery but it's not this one for me. Bakery= Baked goods i can buy and get with...

Kootenay Bakery is an absolute gem in every way! From the service to the atmosphere to the food...omg the FOOD! Literally every thing that my wife and I have tried is amazing. As we are both world travelers who have spent substantial time all over the world, we both always said that the bakery's in southern France were untouchable, and they were until we tried Kootenay Bakery! Place Kootenay Bakery in France and they will still be a top place to go. The service is provided by amazing people with big smiles and great service and the food is exceptional. One of the, if not THE, best bakeries on the planet! Thank you for so many...
