Decided to give this establishment a try on our east coast trip last tuesday morning august 13th 2024 as we were pressed for time for our boat tour of west lake. I am appalled at the service and quality of food received. i don’t recommend even as a last minute in a pinch option. as it was 8:45am when i ordered 2 multi grain bagels toasted with cream cheese and a large coffee just over $11 roughly. Not the issue but not exactly cheap for what we received for quality. There was nobody else waiting to be served, in fact guests were clearing out. People started coming in 10 minutes after us and their orders were taken and there was no acknowledgment as to what was going on with our bagels. About 20 minutes later i get the servers attention and asked whats going on, she stated the kitchen just put the bagels into the toaster….. ummm what!?!?!? Its been 20 minutes… if you are short staffed then the server could put the bagels into the toaster as there was no body else to serve? about 25 minutes later we received the saddest bagels with cream cheese i have ever seen. We figured a bagel would be the fastest option before the bout tour but apparently not. Here pictures of what you will receive for almost $5 a piece and 25 minutes of waiting. If i was not in a rush, i would have returned to attempt for a refund. This was the worst excuse for a bagel. If Tim Hortons sent only 2 bagels out like this after 25 minutes, they would be out of business years ago. Shameful as it did seem promising. But i cant testify for anything else. My opinion tho, if you cant efficiently produce a bagel with some sort of quality, i cant imagine the more in-depth dishes are anything to boast...

Simple food, but delicious. This isn’t gourmet dining, and it doesn’t pretend to be. The portions were extremely generous, and prices were very reasonable.

We had three appetizers at our table - the garden salad, the fish cakes, and the steamed mussels- and all were large enough to be a full dinner. The fish cakes were particularly good. The fish and chips entree was average, but the partridgeberry crumble was delicious. All of the dessert options looked tempting.

The day we visited there was a very large group and they were short staffed, so they had to turn away a number of people. I recommend getting there...

Stopped in for some food before departing rocky Harbour. Very busy spot with a constant flow of People getting breakfast or just grabbing a coffee. Stuck with more of a traditional breakfast which was great. Good tasting and cooked perfect. Toutons were spot on. Staff were great to deal with. They use jumping bean coffee which was is nice. Lots of crafts for sale which you can browse while you wait for your meal. Small craft shop also downstairs. Parking is my only complaint as it’s a hard to get a spot. I’ll be stopping in again next time I’m back...

Friendly staff and felt like home. Had their seafood bake and it was phenomenal. Freshly made. We packed their wraps for our hike to Gros Morne Mountain and they were very tasty. I am had a veggie wrap and my husband had a chicken Ceasar wrap. Quick tip: if you are bringing them to a picnic and don’t want it bulky, ask them to pack it for a hike. I forgot to let them know when we ordered them for take out but they were VERY kind and accommodating to repack for a picnic hike.

Cute café and gift shop. We went there after hiking Western Brook Pond, it was about a 25 minute drive. The staff were all incredibly friendly and we had a great time there. From the looks of it, they serve incredible ice cream, but we were only there for lunch and didn’t want to get anything. The food is very affordable and they also have a great assortment of coffees. The gift shop is loaded with really cute stuff and great souvenirs for your trip.
