Augustus Jane Inn — Hotel in Island of Newfoundland

I'm giving this place 5 stars because that's the upper limit but it deserves many, many more! This was one of the most impressive and remarkable places I stayed in. We had room #1 on the second floor which was unbelievably huge, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Home away from home in a true meaning of this word. I especially enjoyed the view on the working lighthouse at night and super soft towels. Breakfast was amazing!!! Artisan oatmeal with real fruits and nuts; homemade bread and banana bread. I called to book with Otto and he said you will love this place, and he was right. We stayed in the sunset suite which was lovely, spacious and the bed was so comfortable! Otto and Barb were just lovely hosts and greeted us in the morning for the great continental breakfast which was way more than I thought I would get. Freshly baked homemade bread, waffles made to order, eggs, cereal, etc. We even got a banana bread care package when we drove away. Otto recommended a great local fishing experience for my future son in law and he was thrilled to catch and kiss his first cod! I will definitely stay here again when I return to...

We stayed at various hotels, inns, AirBnB during our 2-week holiday in Newfoundland. Augustus Jane Inn provided the best cleanliness, experience, and value for money.

Everything in the Augustus Jane Inn was working, clean and well-maintained. Toilets were truly spotless, beds were comfy, aircons were operating well. Nothing was not functioning. I also tried looking for spiderwebs, including at ceiling lights but failed.

The breakfast was truly good. Go for the waffles.

And the staff were amazingly friendly and warm. I have never felt so welcome in a hotel. Absolutely recommend Augustus Jane...
