Mom's Pan-Fried Bun 老娘水煎包 | Newmarket — Restaurant in Newmarket

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!! FOOD CAN DAMAGE YOUR WELLNESS DO NOT TAKE THE RISK. ME AND MY FRIEND HAD DIARRHEA WHOLE NIGHT AFTER EATING!!!!! Story: I dine in yesterday with my friend, we ordered pork intestine in garlic sauce, antler mushroom salad, pan fried pork dumplings, steamed pork soup dumplings and lastly …… and two cups of say milk. When the waitress brought over my soy milk, I found that there was a really long black piece of hair like thing inside so I let her changed a new cup of it. We ordered a lot so we brought left overs home. After we finish and started going home, I started to feel cramp in my stomach and my friend was okay during the trip back home. Once I got back home the cramp and ache in my stomach started to escalate and I start to have diarrhea. I couldn’t sleep the whole night due to that.

I thought it might be due to the soy milk that caused the reaction. So I thought I could still finish the left overs from yesterday the next morning. So I did that, I ate the left over including the mushroom, 3 prices of pan fried pork dumplings and few prices of the pork intestine. Unfortunately, after around 15-20mins, same thing happened to me, stomach started to ache and I had diarrhea again, and felt really sick and weak afterwards.

I called my friend to confirm, if she’s okay, she told me she also had stomach ache and diarrhea yesterday night. Luckily she didn’t pack anything home so she doesn’t have to eat it in the morning.

I called the store just now in the afternoon, they don’t apologize and they don’t admit their food cause us sickness. The lady in the store told me to go to the hospital to Analyze the food in my stomach, and told me that they have their legal team of take care of matters like this.

This is not my first time coming to the restaurant, but people please highly avoid this place, take care of your health, because you don’t know what you took in to your body. Hope ever can...

DANGEROUS FOOD !!!

My friend and his friend dined at [Mom‘s Pan fried Bun] recently and unfortunately had a concerning experience. Within hours of eating there, both of us experienced digestive issues — his friend had stomach pain and diarrhea that same night, and my friend had more severe symptoms that continued into the next day. My friend also ate leftovers from our meal the next morning and experienced another round of symptoms shortly after.

We understand that without lab testing or receipts, it’s difficult to “prove” anything definitively. However, we felt it was important to share our experience, especially since the timeline and symptoms were very specific and unusual for both of us.

What was even more disappointing was the way my friend was treated when he called the restaurant to express his concern. Rather than a courteous or empathetic response, he was met with sarcasm and dismissed — being told we’d need to “test the food or our feces” to be taken seriously. That response, more than anything, prompted us to leave this review.

We’re not here to accuse — just to caution others and to ask that the restaurant consider taking all customer health concerns seriously, even when...

I ordered dinner from this restaurant to be delivered to my home last night. As we were about to eat the pan fried chives and egg pie, we cut it in half to share it we found a huge piece of glass inside the filling!!! Lucky we cut it in half instead of biting into it right away. We were so shocked and upset! If me or my kids ate it without knowing, it could cut our throats or stomachs and we would need to go to the hospital. That’s a huge food safety concern and we couldn’t eat the rest of the food anymore. Thinking about one of us getting hurt from eating the food has made us lost all our appetites. Serious issue here.

I did call the restaurant to let them know about it so they can inspect and throw away all the affected items immediately and not serve anymore customers in case anyone else get injured from it. The manager was very apologetic about the incident but I don’t think my family can return to this restaurant anymore knowing their food safety standard levels are like this. It’s disappointing because the food is usually pretty good otherwise. I hope they take this concern really seriously and pay more attention to their food safety...
