We ordered two drinks with mascarpone cream, but before we even got them, the cream was already spilling over the sides. What bothered me more was that one of the staff wiped the cups with a damp cloth that looked like it had already been used, instead of using a clean paper towel or something more sanitary. If they were going to do that, the least they could have done was to clean the cups out of customersā sight. It just didnāt feel very hygienic or thoughtful.
When I ordered my drink, the staff member seemed a bit confused and took a while. Then I saw that she had put a different drink ā not the one I asked for ā into the system. When I told her it wasnāt what I ordered, she called another staff member and said she couldnāt find the drink I asked for. The second staff then told me that the drink is no longer available.
I understand that not all staff might know right away if a menu item is discontinued. But I still donāt understand why a completely different drink was entered in the first place. Iām not sure, but was she planning to just enter a different drink name and still make the one I asked for ā without telling me?
Also, even though the cafe closes at 5 PM, the staff started cleaning and moving chairs around us about 10 minutes before closing. It was loud and made us feel like we had to leave quickly. As other customers were leaving, no one said goodbye or even looked up. It just didnāt feel very friendly.
The drink was tasty, but overall the service experience was disappointing, so I wouldnāt feel comfortable recommending this place to others. Iām sharing this feedback in the hope that these issues can...

š¶āāļø On our way to explore the Capilano Suspension Bridge, we made a quick stop at Nomad Coffee & Bakery in North Vancouver. With its cozy, eco-friendly vibe, it was the perfect place to grab a quick coffee before the adventure. We ordered a cappuccino and a latte, and they were simply amazingāsmooth, rich, and just what we needed to recharge!
šæ Nomad stands out not only for its great coffee but also for its commitment to sustainability. Itās one of the first coffee shops to eliminate single-use cups, encouraging customers to bring their own. The minimal yet stylish decor, filled with greenery, adds to the relaxed atmosphere, making it an inviting spot for both a quick coffee or a sit-down.
š Unfortunately, we were in a bit of a rush and didnāt get a chance to try any of their freshly baked goods, but they looked delicious! From croissants to cookies, the bakery section is definitely something weāll come back for next time weāre in the area.
āļø Overall, Nomad Coffee & Bakery is a hidden gem in North Vancouver. Great coffee, a cool, eco-conscious environment, and friendly staff make it a must-visit. Weāll be back for sure to try more of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited this charming coffee shop and had a fantastic experience. Their espresso was rich and well-balanced, with just the right amount of intensity. The latte was equally impressive, with a silky texture and beautifully done latte art, which is always a nice touch. The barista was not only skilled but also very knowledgeable, offering great advice on their selection of coffee beans when I asked about buying some to take home.
The vegan cake was decent but didnāt quite live up to the high standards set by the coffee itself. Still, it was a nice treat to accompany the drink.
The shopās atmosphere was another highlight. Itās bright, airy, and filled with green plants, creating a refreshing and relaxed vibe. The layout of the tables was perfect for both intimate chats and longer work sessions, allowing for a comfortable environment whether you're catching up with friends or getting some work done.
The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall welcoming feel of the place. Definitely a spot worth returning to for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a pleasant, cozy place...
