We had a great dining experience on a Friday before exploring The Shipyards night market!

We arrived around 4:15pm to catch Happy Hour (2pm-5pm daily), it wasn’t busy.

•Service: excellent! Greeted and seated right away. We knew what we wanted, so ordering was quick, as was receiving our food. Staff were friendly, easy going, and attentive. I especially appreciated that our server came before Happy Hour ended to ensure we were done ordering from that menu so we didn’t miss the cutoff.

•Atmosphere: comfy-casual. We ate outside, so I can’t speak to the inside, but the patio’s incredible! Comfy seats, nice breeze, umbrellas for cover (hence the red tone in the photos), and music wasn’t disruptive.

•Margherita Pizza, 5/5: one of the best pizza crusts I’ve had! It’s not too heavy or too thin, with the perfect amount of char. Toppings were perfectly portioned, fresh ingredients. Also, the tomato sauce is VERY good. I’d get this again in a heartbeat. For $17 at Happy Hour, it’s a great deal! As a smaller eater, I ate 3 pieces.

•Pepperoni Pizza, 5/5: my friend ordered this, and loved it! Loaded with pepperoni, which had great flavor, and wasn’t overly salty. As a bigger eater, they had 2 pieces remaining.

•Fresca Fizz, 4.75/5: the white peach makes this. Light, refreshing, not too sweet. For $5 at Happy Hour,...

October 12, 2024: we had to go back for the wonderful pizza for lunch on Saturday and once again enjoyed the great view on the patio, and wonderful service from Chris and Justine. Thank you!

October 5, 2024: My family has been to Nook a few times and I finally had a chance to join them. Now I know why they love it so much!

We sat outside - I was a bit worried it would be too chilly but with the heaters and blankets I felt toasty warm. It was so nice being out in the open with the beautiful view of the area!

The food was excellent! We ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, Rigatoni Boscaiola, and Pepperoni Pizza and all were delicious! I think this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had - the crust so light and tender, just the right amount of cheese and tasty pepperoni!

And the service was fantastic! Thank you to Brad for making sure my drink was just the way I like it and Kirsten for your extraordinary and friendly service. You helped to make it it extra special - thank you so much!

I appreciate that my family introduced me to Nook - now I understand why it is a favourite of theirs! We...

Decided to try this place for the first time. My dog and I were on a walk around the area. I was hungry. I asked if they had a dog friendly patio. She said unfortunately not but I could leave her close to the stairs where I can keep an eye. I said no problem. I asked if the patio was open for service. she said it was and pointed at a table to sit near the stairs. So I placed my dog near the stairs waited outside for 15 mins for service. Saw people go inside and get seated. Saw people come out. Meanwhile I was still waiting for a menu or water or service. I was upset by this point went inside to see if I was going be accommodate. I spoke to a guy at the bar or pizza area. He apologized for the lack of service. But by then I was already upset as it didn't seem like anyone cared, otherwise someone would of informed a manager or something if the server was too busy that there is 1 guest on the patio . Even though it was around. 240pm. It did not seem busy. I left because it was my first time wanting to try this restaurant and I didn't get any service for 15 to 18 mins. from 220...

We made a reservation to go to Nook one evening after we realized we would be spending some time down by Lonsdale. I’ve always wanted to try this place out as they’re really busy. When we arrived, we were greeted by a host and was asked to wait outside for 15 - 20 minutes (due to COVID). As soon as we sat down, we were not surprised by the amount of diners around us and the bustling of the restaurant. We decided to share a couple appetizers, and a few mains to share. For starters we got the chicken liver crostini as well as the meatballs. The crostini, while creamy and flavourful, was a tad bit pricey IMO, but that being said, it was probably the best dish that evening. The meat balls were tender but overall not very memorable. For our mains we got the prosciutto pizza, the crust was great, perfectly cooked. The pastas were also cooked to Al dente, and had plenty of sauce. Overall the atmosphere is great if you enjoy the bustling places, maybe not for a first date though. Service was prompt and on point. Will definitely go back and try other things on their menu.
