I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years. This is the second Indian restaurant taking a stab at this location. I loved the Indian restaurant prior to this one and ate there all the time.
Here are my thoughts after Mumbai Junction took over.
They use WAAAAY too much oil in their curry’s and gravy’s.
I stopped in tonight for a biryani which is decent, but the owner pushed a combo meal. It came with rice, 2 gravy’s, goat curry, bread which is like a wrap, an egg, and a “like a drink”, as described by the owner. Listed for 24.99 on the menu. I got it to go and (for some reason) was charged $26.50. Maybe it was for the take out containers? But they didn’t say anything.
Once again each gravy was almost 1/3 oil, but this time it was like runny soup, wouldn’t call it gravy, and wasn’t very good. I didn’t eat it. The goat curry was also WAY too oily. Rice was dry and the portions were small.
Their street food is ok, such as their Vada Pav, but it’s inconsistent . They also serve tap water at room temperature in a glass bottle, tastes like these bottles have been filled and sitting for a while. I never drink it.
I think tonight was my last visit…
Nice people, but I miss the Indian restaurant that was here before...

This place used to be a momo restaurant, but changed to Mumbai junction. We were curious about the new food so we went in to try.
To our surprise, they sell momo and had a lot of Indian dishes. We tried one of the puri (i think dahi), vava pav, and a platter of momo.
While the vava pav was so-so to us, the puri and momo shined. The puri complemented the spicy dishes. It had crunch from the pastry, fresh veggies, and lots of sauce inside. The momo was delicious and moist as well, while the tandoori version was a little bitter (we're just not used to it), the steamed and szechuan style momo were wonderful.
We talked to the chef and he was receptive to our feedback, and it sounds like he's taking it into consideration for the future.
Our server was excellent and took the time to describe all the things on the menu.
The place has interesting decor and a spacious layout. One thing is that the there were TVs playing Bollywood clips. While it was fun for us, you might want to be aware of that if Bollywood is a bother to your...
Read moreMy experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exhilarating. Having lived in Canada for some time now, I can confidently say that this ranks among the very best experiences I have had. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Kurkure Momos, which completely blew me away. The perfect balance of flavors and textures left me in absolute awe, and I found myself savoring each bite as though it were a once-in-a-lifetime treat.
Despite being a 30-minute drive from my location, the journey was entirely worth it. The ambiance of the place, coupled with the outstanding quality of the food, made for a truly memorable outing. I can already see myself planning another visit in the near future because the experience was simply too good not to repeat.
If you are looking for a place that offers exceptional cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience, this is it. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone who appreciates unique and flavorful dishes. My visit here was a genuine pleasure, and I am already looking forward to coming...
