Casa Romana Sweets — Restaurant in Oakville

I have been too this place once before and found the desserts very delicious as their lattes ,cappuccino. Today I decided to bring some people for the first time. When we arrived two ladies were sitting enjoy their hot beverages . And one couple ahead of us in line being served . There were two staff behind the counter one serving the customer ahead and the other no idea what she was doing. It felt like no one seemed to want to take cere of the customers During this time about 8 more people enter the store and third woman who worked there began moving the display cakes from front of store to behind the counter amidst the people in line and no one in this location saying Hi or we will be with you shortly . Time kept passing and not one word said while everyone in line patiently waited. This lady re arranging the display cakes continued to do so and at one point taking the one girl serving the first customer away from the to help her arrange the display cakes. Leaving no one took tend to the customers in line. Then another staff code from the back to our more sweets in the display case then returns to the back . A gentleman dame from the back then proceeded to talk to the two ladies who were sitting already talking on to them. He then proceeded to the front of store to change the tv to the tennis game While many people wait in line for service . Even the customer in front of us asked his wife why is it taking so long ... With 5 staff members there no one seemed to care about the customers in line The first time people with me said that let’s just go as no one seemed to really care about the customers and off we left with no one in he store saying one word... I gave this place 3 stars only because of the good lattes and sweets we had before. If I could recommend one thing to the staff is , welcome your customers , acknowledge them communicate you will be with them shortly . What is not as important ...re arranging display cakes when there are people in line patiently waiting to be served . Not leave one staff to tend to all the customers in line then have them assist with rearranging display cakes leaving no one serving the customers especially when there were numerous people working in the store who could assist help...

I actually went to pick up too good to go, which is fabulous, but I bought the bean hummus and I don’t know what the previous reviewer is talking about, I love it! Creamy flavourful delightfully garlicky, and they even topped it with carmelized onions, I had half of it for dinner with crackers, it’s quadruple the size of grocery store hummus and it was only ten bucks! Plus the treats I picked up with too good to go, I had an éclair and it was so good!! Everything tastes home made and delicious, I will be back for too good to go and to try some of the other food, I saw lasagna and some other yummy looking food I’m very interested in trying when I pick up, and bonus it’s less than ten minutes from my house! What a delightful gem, super happy 😁

I can confirm that the tiramisu is stupid good, omg, yum yum...

Casa Romana is a great place if you are into delicious cakes made from scratch. We ordered our baptism cake here and it was not only absolutely beautiful, but delicious as well. Carmen is amazing : she went above and beyond to offer us the combination we wanted in terms of flavor and design. We changed the size a few days before and she adjusted right away. Not only amazing home made cakes, European style, but great service as well. Thank you, Carmen, for everything! Everybody loved the cake. It looked so cute that I did not want to cut it and ruin it :) but oh my God when we did, it was DELICIOUS! We are getting our next order ready, as your cakes are...
