European Cuisine — Restaurant in Oakville

I will come back to try something else because maybe what I ordered isn’t a fair representation of what’s good at this restaurant but when I came here before to have the veal sandwiches, it is night and day. Apparently it is new ownership but the menu hasn’t changed much but what I suggest is take the veal sandwich off the menu if that’s the way you serve them it was absolutely disgusting. I know there is only one person working in the back and she was serving as well but if that’s the case then bruh, warn us about how the food you serve is maybe a little neglected or not up to par. The bun was wet inside and I think it was from something that was frozen and then it was defrosted between the bread, I really don’t know. The veal with thin and dry and lacked flavour. The worst part of this sandwich was the cheese wasn’t even melted the whole way through and the texture was so off because of that. Those tiny wings were drenched in sauce and were on the colder side. I know she had a lot to do but maybe next time tell us we’re better off leaving because you’re a one woman show without help, instead of giving us garbage for food. With one person in that kitchen it just won’t work, you have too many items in your menu. I know this place has a lot of regulars but do yourself a service and don’t serve sandwiches like this again because I won’t be the only one who lets you know. Picked up some Spaghetti and Meatballs for my kid and his buddy earlier today. Service was great and the description was legit that this place is home style. 15 bones for sgetti and meatballs was ok considering there was a good meat to noodle/sauce ratio. My kid is fussy so I wasn’t sure how this would go over but he loved it. Him and his bro rated it at 4.5 stars. We ordered two 1/2 chicken dinners with salads. Honestly, that was the best chicken my wife and I have had in quite a long long time. We have had chicken from John's Portuguese BBQ over near Mississauga and his chicken is excellent. But what we had from G&L was better and much closer to home.
