I wish I could give a zero to this place. It seems to be the few reviews people bother to write about this place often reference the absolute abhorrent behavior of one of the managers, female with short hair. That seems to be the manager I had this morning.
Lines I can deal with, because it's a morning rush. But upon going through drive thru, the manager (as I was later told) spoke incredibly fast so that I could not fully understand what she was telling me. When I went to pay for my order, I was told that after waiting for 15 minutes in line that the debit machine was not functional. That is understandable as these things can happen. I told her I would drive around and pay inside, which I did. When I got in, I saw there was a large line of people who had walked in when I did (several of whom I saw park). I went to the front and asked if I could pay for my already placed order. The attendant looked as if she had barely understood me (English may not have been her first language which again is understandable), so I told her I wanted to pay for my drive thru order. She told me I had to wait in line. I told her I was concerned because I had to head to work (I gave myself a 30 minute window which seems fair for fast food) and that the food may be cold. She ignored me and went back to pouring coffee.
I watched as no one attended the line I was in for several minutes, and ultimately, waited another 13 minutes just to be seen. When I got there, I restated to the same person that I wanted to pay for my placed order (please bear in mind that I had placed this order now about 20 minutes before). The attendant told me that the order had been cancelled and that I would have to make another one and wait for them to make some fresh burritos (which is what I ordered). I had seen how fast it took them to make an egg mcmuffin (8 minutes on one order).
I immediately asked to speak to the manager. The attendant told me she was busy on drive thru. I asked for a card and she flatly just said 'she doesn't have one'. I had to go to work so I simply walked away. I have been coming to that McDonalds for months now despite their often shoddy customer service. But never again.
I know there is a stigma about 'fast food', but the basic fundamental for McDonald's is fast food, decent price, and excellent customer service. The fact that this place is anything but in 2 out of 3 of those is nothing short of abysmal. I don't expect anything to be done, because the managers there clearly do not care for these reviews. Read moreI have a home office when not traveling and go to this McDonalds at least once or twice a day for a coffee and /or the coffee-muffin combo that is 1/2 the price as Tim Hortons.
The problems with this specific McDonald's are: -Service is one of the worst at any McD anywhere in the world. -They are totally disorganized and never has a Manager in control on deck. Yes there are some managers, but they are generally worst than the staff itself. -50% of the time, they screw up my coffee, so my double double usually have either no sugar, or is black or with milk instead of cream. I once came back inside and argued with one useless Manager that my coffee had milk in it and not cream and argued enough that he even opened the machine to realize to his embarrassment that there was a bag of Milk instead of cream in the cream spot... -They always run out of BLUEBERRY muffins (80% plus of the time I leave with a carrot or cranberry muffin)...here's a hint McD...Bake more BB muffins! -Their self-ordering machines are brand new and are already screwed up and almost never give you a receipt...so most people reorder and pay twice... I waited for 15 minutes for 2 coffees last week after using the machines and had to leave empty handed not to miss my next conference call... -Just a pure mess in general.
I try to avoid this McDonald's and try to go at the one by QEW and Dorval, which is way better organized and run, but is twice as far from my house.
McDonalds should send their inspectors at this location to just see for themselves how poorly this restaurant is run...
By the way, their drive thru monitor (screen to check accuracy of order) had been broken for 2 years and I was complaining about it all the time and the week that Tim Hortons put a sign next door that they were going to open soon, then McD repaired the screen...you gotta love...
Read moreThis is another instance, if I could take one star away, I would. I was told after 3 days in a row of them, making mistakes with a simple sausage mcmuffin. They gave me I'm a mcgriddle every time when I went and spoke to the manager, the manager told me why I was trespassed. At no time was I verbally abusive and/or hostile, except for her demeanor towards myself, I told her I'd take my business somewhere else, and then I was going to put a review the manager there. The blonde woman stay away from it. She doesn't seem to care if your meal's right. She doesn't care if you have your money back. They don't care about the gas. You waste It's going back-and-forth, because I don't know they make a mistake food. It's hot but get the right order and get it every time I can see once twice. But not 3 times come on, don't go there. Unless you want problems well, here's an update for the review. I finally got a call back a few hours later. The gentleman in question tree bark has more personality. He asked me what I think the problem was when I told him it was the ethnic groups that don't speak English and/or cannot read. English, therefore, they're messing up the orders on a regular basis. He called me not in so many words, a liar. I told him he better check the camera. Then I told him I don't appreciate his demeanor when I'm talking to him about my experience at the store, which I should be able to do as a Canadian, then I told him I wasn't appreciative of him. Hiring people. Before canadians, a lot of these people, there are taking the job of teenagers I remember when I used to work for mcDonald's, it was a lot better back in the day and you didn't have this kind of selloute from a corporate company.
